Totally get the direction you're coming from. But, Hondas are meant to be revved at least we think so. So, yes the power band changes, but you also save those rods from that torque hit down low you get with tuning the stock turbo.
And if you've driven any amount of miles or tracked these, you...
Ok, we can't let the 10th Gen fam have all the fun. We recently posted over on the 10th gen forum data with the W1 Ball Bearing turbo putting down over 350WHP on our shop FC1. That car is a hoot to drive.
But, our 11th Gen Si shop car is no slouch either. It's been running our Gin turbo for...
Hey All,
We just dropped a neat 3-piece upgraded Boost Tube Kit for the FL5/DE5 twins. This one is simple, the stock OE rubber boost tubes kinda suck...they yield/expand too much under boost pressure. Even stock pressures. Turn up the boost and the problem gets even worse.
No such issue with...
The first new batch of those should be shipping out next month with shorter and equal sized tips
Hey now....that's a choice in editing 🤣🤣, but I'm trying to have the guys do more straight audio stuff soon
The intake drops in place of the stock unit, you move the ECU over one bolt hole over. It's reversible if you ever intend to go back into stock.
The gasket goes inside the MAF housing, not the cone filter. It needs a firm push and twist to seat the MAF onto the EVAP assembly. Not sure what...
Hey fam, if you've been waiting to scoop up that 27WON part and haven't pulled the trigger yet, our big November sale is on.
Here's a preview of some deals specifically for the 2.0T. Plenty of other parts on sale as well, pretty much the full catalogue.
Type R Downpipes: 5% off
Kuro: $50.00...
Not sure where you scooped that up info....several members here are pushing near 600WHP on the stock rods. Not saying do that long term, but these stock motors are pretty stout
Kuro and Kuro+ have very similar spool down low, but yeah, I would steer towards Kuro. Even without fuel system upgrades, you're looking at getting ~420-430WHP potentially with the Kuro. Throw in fuel and you'll be right below ~500. The Kuro feels very OEM+ which a lot of customers enjoy.
I'm been running the original Kuro on my own Type R for a few years. The one benefit for putting in the Kuro+ is if you ever wanted more power in the future, you can simply retune and boom, it's there.
If you were sticking to the stock fuel system components, then the normal Kuro is the...
It greatly depends on the angle you're looking at, yes. Some angles make it stand out, others make it look more flush. The center tip is also large so you need clearance around the tip to clear the diffuser. Maybe tucking it in 1/2 inch is doable. Looking straight down, it's pretty flush with...
