I'm so confused now. I'm debating calling a few Acura dealers and getting on some lists. Only problem is I like the look of the Type R more, also I feel like the Type S is going to be way heavier and full of gross ass leather making it a slip n' slide seat on the track. Not to mention the price...
And yet it still gaps most of the awd drive cars in it's class running with all 4 on the track... I would think of it more as a disabled dog with one of those carts on the rear legs. That little fucker can get those front legs moving and the back rolls nice and easy.
I found an additional car that may have come a few months sooner then the 24' I'm supposedly getting. It would have cost me about $6k more with their extra warranty for key fob and wheels and lower value on my trade. I didn't buy it, because I'm personally not willing to pay over MSRP for the...
You can save yourself some money and do one of two things. Just over inflate the tires or if you're still concerned I have used in the past those hard foam insulation boards, they are way cheaper then buying those ramps and will contour to the tires the same way.
As for having the car stolen...
Sent my weekly email to pester my dealer about seeing the 2023 Champ White car they have incoming, it hasn't showed up yet, but he told me this regarding mine (I say mine as he now sounds pretty affirmative that it is)
" Regarding your 2024 order it won’t be here until some time in 2024, as...
I came from a Focus RS before. I wanted a Type R when I bought that car, but it just didn't happen. Then again when I bought this car I did as well. I too have a pretty long history of civics. Thankfully no kids so I could justify the "2" seater at this time. The GR is great fun, I just find it...
I had a deposit down November 2021 and then I saw the regular hatch with the factory wing on it and holy shit does it look bad and awkward so it turned me right off of the car. Unfortunate as I likely would have had one by now. I ended up with a GR86 which has been great, but once seeing the car...
I 100% think that's what they're doing, if they can't get over msrp like the states can, they are trying to double dip on the finanicing/leasing with peoples trade ins.
The dealer I "have" a BOS for and am "supposedly" number 4 on their list of 6 basically told me because I have a 2022 trade...
It's a super European concept. When I had my Focus RS, all the euro guys would put these hideous looking raincoats over there seats that looked awful to "protect" the recaros. I drove mine 50k KM and never had so much as a crease on it let alone a stain. Yeah they were black, but doesn't matter...
I hope you are right and had accurate info. We easily had dealers all across the country with 20+ people on their order lists, sadly no dealer is getting more then a handful of cars over the next 3 years. I guess enjoy the Type R's over there for the rest of us!
That's crazy you guys are getting so many cars. In Canada the word on the street is they are allegedly giving us only 542 (or 546 I can't remember) over the next 3 years, which is crazy for a market that bought so many FK8's. That would be great if the info was wrong and we were getting as many...
I'm guessing it's official if it's convenient to the dealer and unofficial if it's convenient to the dealer.
I wouldn't be surprised if they added stuff and said that's what it is take it or leave it. Hoping they don't and if they do it's at least add ons I want
No Vin, and the BOS technically says for a 2023 model, but then in the notes says please note this is for a 2024 Type R. Then it says delivery subject to dealer allotment received
That's some schoolyard bullshit. I blame them, but also Honda could have been much more transparent and also given us more cars... I made the sales manager give me in writing my BOS is for one of the 2024's incoming, but even still I'm not very confident in that anymore lol Oh well now we wait...
Kia did that to my parents as well, but the dealer they bought from said Kia themselves raised the price and it was out of their control. Their bos didn't show any "market adjustment" just a new innitial price.
That being said the dealer I am (maybe) getting a car from let me bully my way up...
