I definitely think it will smash the Cars and Bids auction. A big part of that is the color. I actually like the SGP, but between it and the greater exposure/following BAT holds, I really don't think the final bids will be close.
I own a LE FK8 (USA - 031) and a CW FL5. There is zero chance I would have parted with my LE if it was a requirement to obtain the FL5.
The only exception to that would be if you intended to daily drive either car. The interior improvements/ergonomics of the FL5 really do make it a better daily...
I totally agree about PPF, but I totally disagree regarding ceramic coating. If you do it yourself, with proper prep, I cannot overstate how much easier and efficient it is to keep your car clean if it has been properly coated. If you do it yourself, you can complete the job with high quality...
Absolutely not. Very happy with my decision, although admittedly I’ve had mine for just one week. I don’t feel as if I overpaid at $5k over sticker though, especially with a lifetime powertrain warranty included in the price. I bought it because I wanted a fun but practical daily driver that can...
You guys may be right, but before I made the trek to get mine in Tennessee (quote in hand), I checked with them one last time and they said they “wouldn’t budge from $25k over”. Insanity.
Your point is definitely valid. I hadn’t noticed anyone on here arguing against it. I have seen exactly what you describe on several occasions in my experience, on and off the track.
But regardless, having road raced an ITR in a Honda series for years in the 2000s, I can say with certainty that...
I don’t feel that the above is stressed enough in the “track tests” that are out there, at least those that I have seen. This is absolutely dead on.
I could have sworn I wrote this. I was in the exact same boat. CW or nothing. There is no other choice for me.
I just got back from an 8 hour round trip due to one becoming available unexpectedly. Made for one hell of a long day, but #775 is safely in the garage and I couldn’t be happier.
