The difference in very visible, 14 mm. Right front wheel gap is clearly larger than the other three.
The body panels are perfectly aligned.
The car is driving and tracking perfectly as far as I can tell.
I also measured at jacking point and of course right side is higher.
Checked a 2020 Civic LX...
Rightly said. It felt just perfect for me before measuring. Now I can't undo it, lol.
Now imagine if I went to measure with someone in the driver seat...
Car dives perfectly, as far as I can tell. Sitting in the car feels normal, not noticeable.
If the driver's side was higher I'd think is to...
I asked about this on the other forum, in section dedicated to suspension but got no answers....
So before making any changes to the suspension I decided to measure the ride hight at the highest point of the fender arches.
The front right is higher than driver's side no matter where I park the...
Thanks for the detailed explanation.
Got it now.
The requirements for the 93 Octane tune were clear to me but I thought higher octane was still recommended for the other one.
I see. I thought it was the 93 Octane option that will also work on 91 Octane gas but with higher knock control and reduced timing.
I thought the 91 Octane option will not see any improvements if higher octane was used.
Would that mean the 91 octane tune will also give better performance...
I have a question about the Phereable 1.5 Race maps.
Apologize if off topic.
If one buys the 91 Octane tune, are there still advantages in using 93 or higher Octane ?
Just back to say that I have the same impressions on the type R front springs mounted on an Si as ones DYI01 shared earlier in the thread.
This is after a short drive from the shop, on not very familiar roads and hope it'll stay the same when going over rougher patches.
Si is more buttoned...
I'm using the FK8 swaybar on the 2023 Si.
Hope I didn't come across all negative about this. I was just surprised that it didn't feel the same as I experienced before.
Probably there is more good than I noticed in this mod but I was looking in the wrong place for it.
By the time I realized the...
Wow, spot on! I think the difference is about 3 mm. A lot less than the one on my 8th. gen. for sure as the Progress RSB is 22mm.
I had the same Type R bar on the 2018 Hatch and off course the difference is also at least 1 mm. more.
Thanks for giving a different perspective. Didn't think of it...
Trying to revive this thread since it contains a lot of good advice from experienced contributors, whom opinion I'd like to hear.
I installed the type R sway bar on my 2023 Si and the result wasn't as clear cut as in previous Hondas I modified.
The "car just wants to corner" feel wasn't as...
Do you mean a DIY tune or custom?
I tried a basemap just to disable the rev hang but didn't like the shifts and I wasn't comfortable to play with throttle padding , I think.
No man, still have the KTuner but I'm afraid to tune it as I did with the Hatch.
I want it to last.
I became paranoid a tune will maybe cancel out the things Honda tuned in for Carbon deposits prevention, lol. ???
I have absolutely no basis for this but I noticed the exhaust tips don't get black...
Not much to add to the responses you've received.
I used to have a 2018 Hatch with Si springs and I was shocked how much better the new Si is for handling. Doesn't feel related at all.
Comparing it with my supercharged 8th. gen though, I find the new Si on the 20.5PSI stock tune lacking a lot...
I forgot to mention that I also hate unadjustable tilted seats and found these just acceptable.
For some reason they settled nicely and don't feel that way anymore. If that sharp cushion was still there I'd notice for sure because I'm consistently switching cars and it would be obvious right...
True. I swapped the leather seats in my Acura CSX Type S with Si seats of the same year and the driver seat was perfect while the passenger seat needed a harness and module swap and a calibration after.
The cars were basically identical mechanically, same engine, transmission etc.
I'm actually...
Sure thing! I had the whole package, bushings, Accord end links and all.
After driving it for a couple of days I can tell the difference it makes is less pronounced than it did on the 10th.gen. Hatch.
Less improvement felt in the resistance to cornering, probably because the Si with the LSD and...
