  1. The FL5 Dealer ADM Markup Thread

There are now over 300 new CTRs for sale nationwide. Back in 2018, the new CTR inventory nationwide hit 400, and in 2019, went over 700. At the current rate of new units available growing, I predict over 400 new units by end of year available nationwide. Additionally, with borrowing rates...
  2. East Coast FL5 Delivery Estimates/Confirmations

Just spoke to one of the top greedy dealers in my area (Coggin Honda Jacksonville) who said their first FL5 won't be delivered until end of December at the soonest.
  3. East Coast FL5 Delivery Estimates/Confirmations

Nice! Didn't realize you were scooping one up. You'll have to get a photoshoot with the LE and your new FL5
  4. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Media Launch Questions for savagegeese?

Whoever told you that, lied. US Honda dealers have been price gouging customers looking to buy the 11th gen Civic Si for over a year now and there is nothing being done by Honda about it (they are not holding back allocations). The CTR will be no different. Honda didn't do anything about...
  5. 2022 Si upgraded to 2023 Type R -- owner comparison review

Absolutely love the forged wheels. On the other hand, I really like the look of the factory wheels. Curious, when you get the accessory wheels, do they provide the factory wheels with the car? I think they should for the price tag. The only thing I'll also say, that red leather accessory shift...
  6. Sat in Rallye Red FL5 Civic Type R and took interior pics

I've always loved fog light LEDs. Would be cool if the refresh incorporated that feature
  7. Sat in Rallye Red FL5 Civic Type R and took interior pics

I remember in the late winter/early spring of 2017 when the first FK8s we're arriving for journalist reviews and the anticipation was super high for the first units to go on sale. I'd get antsy thinking about if/how/when/where can I get one of these. Fast forward to now and I have that feeling...
  8. Journalist Press Drives for FL5 2023 Civic Type R Underway

I actually prefer the alcantera steering wheel, but I have that on my 21 CTR LE, so I'm happy to have a leather wheel on my FL5 (when the time comes that I get one)
  9. Journalist Press Drives for FL5 2023 Civic Type R Underway

what's with the alcantera steering wheel? I thought it was leather?
  10. GVWR Weight = 3968 LBS. And 2023 Civic Type R Will Be Made in Japan! 🇯🇵

I was here to say just that. My LE is 3,071 lbs...if the new R is 3900 lbs, that's ~30% increase in weight! I won't believe this until I see a production model, just doesn't make sense. Edit: Boostlag corrected what that number means in the above post. So this number is not curb weight
  11. Honda posts last Civic Type-R teaser before the reveal on July 20

Excited to see the car, dreading the buying experience
  12. 2023 Civic Type R Full Reveal Coming July 20!

We can agree to disagree, but I am 100% certain HPJ is a fully employed Honda marketing rep. Not just any average journalist or shmo off the street gets to go see their CTR being built at the Swindon factory and then shipped to their local dealer:
  13. 2023 Civic Type R Full Reveal Coming July 20!

HPJ is an employee of Honda, and he has historically been reliable with info like this. I would bet the house we are going to see a full, unwrapped reveal July 20th of the 11th gen CTR. HPJ was one of the first reliable sources to confirm Boost Blue for the 2020 refresh FK8 as well as the...
  14. Sold '20 SI after 1 year of ownership - '22 SI worth the leap or will it leave me similarly disappointed?

I just picked up a 2011 Si to daily drive over my CTR LE. Having previously owned the 2015 Si (9th gen), I have to say, the 8th gen Si is something really special. The 8k redline and VTEC turnover, incredible. I'm surprised more Honda enthusiast don't value the 8th gen Si over the 9th or even...
  15. MSRP Only Dealerships For 2023 Civic Type R

I know FL Honda dealers very, very well through my buying experiences. I bought two CTRs since 2019 and I was a big part in helping my brother buy his CTR as well. You should 100% plan on buying out of state if you are firm on only paying MSRP. If you are willing to spend $1k-$5k over MSRP, you...
  16. MSRP Only Dealerships For 2023 Civic Type R

In FL, MSRP + accessories regularly meant $2-$5k over MSRP, and the accessories themselves were usually less than $500 when buying direct from Honda suppliers online. Hope in your case you don't get raked over coals, but from my experience in FL, "mandatory accessories" usually means a rough...
  17. MSRP Only Dealerships For 2023 Civic Type R

Most dealers who sell at MSRP do not sell at MSRP on a consistent basis. For example, my first CTR I bought in 2019 was sold to me at MSRP by a dealer who otherwise almost always charges markup, it just happened to be that at the time of my purchase, they had 4 CTRs in inventory and thus, were...
  18. ? 2022 Civic Type R Spied Inside & Out (First Interior Shots)! 265/30/19 tires revealed.

As far as I can tell, nothing substantial. He went to Lindsey Honda, looked at a bunch of nice classics and current day models, and visited a research and development facility. There was nothing new that came out in terms of the new CTR
  19. ? 2022 Civic Type R Spied Inside & Out (First Interior Shots)! 265/30/19 tires revealed.

HondaProJason posted this, not sure what to make of it: The CTR LE topped out at 180mph, could this new CTR hit 192mph? Would be awesome if so
  20. Three 2022 Boost Blue hatchback sports for sale at my local dealer (Jacksonville FL)

I’ll also comment that this car looked absolutely awesome in person. Photos don’t do this car justice. I’ve previously looked at a new sedan in person, which was okay, but seeing this 11th gen hatchback in person, in the BB color, is a stunning car that I’d love to own. I’m even more psyched for...
