I'm familiar with PS4S and have done about 250 track days with various cars and tires.
My question is just how the PS4S compares with the RT660. I have PS4S on my new CTR and would like to try the car on track as is.
If you downshift a bit early, you can go over 7k and rev limiter won’t prevent that. So my question is, how much over 7k starts to damage the engine?
How do you compare those tires with PS 4S?
What’s the factory alignment vs your alignment? Is there a substantial lap time difference? Does factory alignment result in bad tire wear?
Do you find any overheating issues?
I find that I can easily shift quickly, but I'm a little slower and more deliberate going from 4th to 5th, to avoid mis-shifting into 3rd.
Speaking of shifting, how tolerant is this engine to over-revs? Redline is 7k, but the 'red band' goes from 7k to 8k.
I just got a new CTR last week and have already completed break in, with more than 600 miles on the car. I'm super impressed with the car and really enjoying it. Feels like a hot hatch designed by the Porsche GT division.
This is my first Honda, and my first Japanese car. All of my other cars...
