Thanks! I'm glad to hear that Anti-Lag is disabled - I would have requested this otherwise. It seems great for a quick power boost, but absolutely terrible for your car.
Nope, there is root available for the 18's already. It's actually a bluetooth issue holding things up right now. Something about the bluetooth on the 18's has changed, and it no longer allows pairing to devices like KTuner (though clearly still works with phones).
The tunes are actually stored on the V1.2 itself - it's like a large flash memory stick with an ODB2 connector on the end. When you want to load a new tune onto it, you just take it inside and plug it into your computer (via a standard micro USB to USB A port on the back). Save your tunes to...
Yep - unlike Hondata which, if I recall correctly, is similar to a small laptop power brick and connects to the car via a long cable, the V1.2 is the size of large container of Tic Tacs (but lighter) and plugs directly in. You can wirelessly monitor everything, flash tunes, or take logs. And...
I actually bought a V1.2 a few months after my V2.0, and am currently selling my V2.0. I had no intention of mounting the V2.0 to monitor parameters, and when I tried a few times anyway, I could never find a comfortable way to route the long ODB2 cable that connects the unit to the car's port...
I flashed my copy this afternoon and took the car out for a few hours to test things out. First and foremost, my KCtrl on 93 octane matched Charleswrivers very closely. I started out at .59 and gradually fell until I settled around .52. I suspect that in time, I will settle back at .49 again...
Hold the Cruise "Cancel" button for 3 seconds and let go. The Tach will jump to the number corresponding to the selected slot. Use the +/- buttons to cycle between the tunes, and when ready, press and hold cancel for 3 more seconds, then release. That selects and locks in the slot. The high...
That's perfectly normal. AFR will be around 29 whenever you're coasting.
This is a three tune package, with factory boost on setting 1, 19/21 psi on 2, and the 25 psi custom tune on Setting 3. You're likely on one of the first two settings.
93 Octane is the only premium in the Capital Region, so I should have the best possible basis for comparison. I'm currently running PRL's Cobra CAI and FMIC, so minus the DP/FP, I'm pretty close to full basic bolt ons. Looking forward to seeing what this tune can do!
All premium is 93 octane in my area. Maybe that's the reason?
Really just hoping for a couple of comparison samples from existing Vit Stage 1 users on performance and KControl before I pull the trigger.
Thanks everyone for the feedback. I am following this thread closely, as I am eager to purchase this tune for my KTuner V1.2 and sell my KTuner V2 w/ Vit Stage 1. Unfortunately, the feedback on the higher KControl values has me a little spooked at the moment. I did some testing on the Vit...
