Yes the secondary radiator run in parallel took a lot longer to get ECT 1 temps to a stable level.
Indeed, what you see in the pic above is my ECT3 sensor which is post secondary radiator and before the engine, yet to be logged.
Have a look at this chart, which depicts a recent track day i...
Interesting points so I am running the factory thermostat. ECT2 sensor has remained unchanged from factory. I previously had the system run in parallel to the factory radiator implemented in the same fashion as the Mishimoto fk8 secondary radiator. ECT1 and ECT2 numbers were very close however...
Thanks! I had that initial concern as well but it kind of just works well. As it passes the primary radiator gap cleanly without issue. Coolant temps albeit in the cooler ambient temps were very stable across the entirety of the track sessions.
Hi Y'all,
Iām at it again and wanted to share another open source style kit. Iāll call it āGambitās FL5 secondary radiator kitā. DIY and build it yourself and hopefully improve and make it better. Lots of inspiration from Driven Crazy and their Hyperthemia kit on the FK8.
Again the...
Thanks all. Iām only just learning Hondata as only recently had it installed. This is first initial logs, have since updated to the beta version and need another clean logging session when time allows as seeing funky things with some sensors showing and others not. So take with as an initial view.
Hi all,
Iām Tony, alias GAMBIT and I would like to introduce you to my Do it Yourself (DIY) intercooler kit. Iāll call it āGambitās FL5 intercooler kitā. A kit meant for the home DIYāer and done at a budget suitable for street as a mild upgrade over the OE 'MAHLE' intercooler fitted from the...
Anyone have any close up pics of where you have cut into which coolant line to the heater matrix to plumb in the secondary radiator. I'm making up a DIY solution for myself. Will report back on how i go eventually, but its early days. Also any idea on the internal diameter of the coolant hose...
Hi guys, had a few people enquiring about buying a kit from me. FYI Iām not selling them as a kit as all the parts and instructions here are hopefully enough to make yourself one.
Having said that if you do end up making one just credit civicxi and the āGambit intakeā for the community here and...
Totally agree. Never drive through flood water full stop.
I was instead looking at retaining the brake duct pipe but adding a T piece like this to direct air sideways into the pod and also toward the brakes as well.

I hear your concern. To iterate on the idea. You could potentially fully seal the arch area and make the only air accessible to the area where the pod sits via the inlet the brake duct hose and seal that hose as well. Because that hose runs into the area that is water tight, on the tail end of...
