Most cars have "mandatory" accessories, because dealers straight up just add it on. That's really the only way they earn a buck or two out of selling cars because yes, ADMs are illegal in Canada. Unless they specifically ask you which accessories you want, you best bet they'll slap on whatever...

My only shot at getting this is people backing out. BUT when the price does come online, and with all the accessories they "force" you to get. I might have to back out too. Who knows...

Doubt the lottery is happening on a consumer level. Seems like dealers did get an email about their allocations though, and one of which I spoke to said they'll start going down the list once they get pricing.

GM at a dealer in my area said they got allocated 5 over 3 years. Email came from Honda Canada, seems to echo a few other dealers out there.

No, I completely understand what you're saying. Spring 2023 is what I've been told since the day I put down a deposit. I'm not high on the list so it might even be 2024. Gives me time to save up more for accessories I guess ?
