it was definitely Honda corporate. Got a bit of a runaround from the reps, but still some interesting info:
- they haven’t been officially informed whether there will be a 2026 or not.
- big Honda normally forwards them info on new models / facelifts etc. 6-8 months in advance of release so...
well clock is ticking. We should have a definitive answer within 3-4 months max I would think. Maybe sooner with this information “leaking”
All I know is that one side of this argument is going to look very silly. Just a matter of which one ?
I’m starting to think that the likeliest scenarios are either a) 2025 is the end of the line or b) we get an unchanged 2026 model followed by an LE or special edition
There’s a myriad of links out there. That said, I’m sure there are others here that are more qualified to speak on the subject. My point was simply that the possibility of there not being a 2026 model isn’t just being formed out of thin air as implied.
Im skeptical myself and will believe it...
Not quite as simple as just “leaving money on the table”. There are stringent CARB regulations that go into effect this year in JP and the CTR is the only vehicle in Hondas lineup that would violate those regulations.
Not to mention there were release notes indicating a three year run upon...
It's possible. At launch there were statements made indicating that this might only be a three year run. Lots of data out there supporting both sides of the argument.
I would surmise that if we don't hear anything by the Spring, then it is likely a wrap. Should be interesting either way...
Getting fairly late in the game and we still have zero info from Honda on the 2026 or whether there will even be one. Can always wait another month or two and see if any news materializes.
Just keep searching, maybe a little outside of your normal radius. There are msrp deals to be had, especially on the “common” colors like CW, BB and SGP. Red and black might be a different story.
Finally got around to installing my fronts today, very straightforward install! Only thing that held me back were those damn push pins. Even with a removal tool, they still snapped off and had to be excavated from the hole. Literally impossible to get oem pins off without marring up the...
I used to work at a dealership and you'd be in shock at the condition some of the new cars would come in off the carrier. Talking full body panels needing to be repaired in some cases. This is what we would have called "normal" or "minor" damage lol.
Not to make light of the situation, but a good body shop can easily fix that and you would never know it's there. Most if not all of the damage appears to be on the non-cleared portion of the door, so that's also in your favor from a repair standpoint.
Assuming you got a good deal on the car...
Depends on the color really. Since black and (especially) red account for like 5-10% of total production, it's damn near impossible to find one at MSRP. On last check, there were like 9 new reds in the entire country, compared to 175 white.
I agree though, white, blue and grey are pretty much...
More seasoned owners can correct me if I'm wrong, but I *think* the black, lighted trim piece where the brunt of your damage is can be replaced. This would save you from having to replace the whole door panel.
Either way though have to weigh the merits of whether you want a tech a Honda...
