  1. Model Year 2025 Civic Type R FL5 Shipments from Japan

That is crazy -- I thought I'd have one of the later MY25 cars with a high 5000 VIN and here we are 2000+ units past that.
  2. Has anyone ever adjusted their OEM shifter cables?

You haven't exactly left a confidence-inspiring trail of info in the internet -- clutch dump, replaced clutch, two bolts left over, then a few days later the transmission is stuck in gear and then blows up. The symptoms you described here match up exactly with what I'd expect if the external...
  3. Would the side fender rust from paint chip?

That part is plastic -- it's part of the lower side vent/flare/rocker panel. I would have thought it was obvious it wasn't metal just by the feel. But another dead giveaway is that it could only be a molded part -- they could never make that one large continuous part with a metal stamping due...
  4. Model Year 2025 Civic Type R FL5 Shipments from Japan

It is really odd to see MY25 production stretching this long.
  5. 2026 FL5 Speculation Thread

I'll believe it when we see one on the ground. In my experience, salesman are the most clueless, their managers are only slightly less dumb, and I've even seen regional reps and corporate weenies who knew less about new/coming models than the average car enthusiast. In the case of the Civic...
  6. How to check tire pressure on FL5?

Many of the digital gauges are wildly inaccurate, so make sure you have a way to check the gauge when you first get it, to make sure it's trustworthy. I got one of these last year and it's been good so far: https://amzn.to/47vyCCZ
  7. Sheet Metal in Trunk - Ripples?

I have seen this sort of thing on inner body stampings of many vehicles. For that geometry stamping (deep drawn well) in that location, it's very likely normal and they just don't need it to be any better. I am sure you can find similar ripples in other locations on the car's inner body stampings.
  8. Low Cost / Good Looking DIY Splash Guards for FL5

Here is a PDF of the FL5 template I arrived at, with my preferred screw holes marked out by arrows. I recommend drilling 1/4" holes for the screws, which will accommodate any slop in the template or mounting points on the car. The PDF scan was split into two pages that can be aligned at the...
  9. Low Cost / Good Looking DIY Splash Guards for FL5

I recently traded my ITS for a CTR FL5 and was not real happy with the selection of splash guards available for the car -- most of the aftermarket options are either expensive, amateurish looking (like some kid made them in high school shop), or both. So I made a set using the same approach...
  10. Model Year 2025 Civic Type R FL5 Shipments from Japan

Mine was on the Mercury Leader too, got to the dealer in Virginia around Aug 20-21. I actually saw it on the truck headed to the dealer one morning! Despite dealer washing the car, there is a lot of rail dust on the paint so I plan to hit it with iron remover next week. I imagine any of these...
