Good lesson learned.
As previously mentioned, I always go for a quick trip after every wash and hit the brakes several times to scrub the rotors clean. Then when pulling into the garage when done don’t use the ebrake when parking, just leave it in gear.
That’s because the MM system was created for the purpose of giving the illusion of a lower cost of maintenance by making you believe you could extend out your regular maintenance services. This was done to solely satisfy government regulations at the long term expense of the consumer.
There are a ton of good oil threads on this forum.
Your best bet is to ignore the maintenance minder. It’s not a smart as your Honda salesman wants you to believe it is. It is simply using an algorithm based on a few driving factors.
