I'm a fan of rev match. I've seen people wanting a button to change it, but I can't imagine a scenario where one would change it often. Like you're just driving along, and you feel like changing it? I don't get it. How is it a risk to accidentally change it? Because if you are used to downshift...
I have the Touring, and it sounds louder than in any video I've seen (from AWE or users), but it's good. I wouldn't go any louder though. Don't go by the videos. Track will be very loud. Of course you can always convert it, so up to you.
I'm curious, because I've seen folks talk about this a lot, but I don't get it. How often do you change the rev match setting? It seems, at least to me, that you either use it or you don't. I wouldn't want a button where I can accidentally change it. So for me having it in the menu is perfect...
To those still waiting, be patient, it's worth it. I got mine on Monday (Touring with Black Tips) and had it installed today. It sounds just perfect to me, and the build quality is top notch. Thanks to @Sara/AWE for helping track things and answer questions.
Not the best photo, just a quick one...
This is why I run with the PCA black group when I go to track days (not yet with the FL5, but plan to in the Spring). I just have no trust with these others and have seen my share of idiots doing dangerous stuff out there that it's not worth the risk. You can take any car you want as long as you...
I got all the parts here except for the pads. Some weren't used, but safe and cheap insurance. The staple are necessary as you'll see once you take the seats apart.

I was worried it might void the warranty should something happen, but I finally did it. I put 2 scoops of whey isolate powder in my gas tank yesterday and the gains were instant. I was doing sub 3s 0-60 times, and pulling on everyone at stoplights. This is the way Honda should have made this...
I'm all for manuals, but on most high performance cars, having only 6 gears doesn't work well - too long/tall. The engines are tuned to work with dual-clutch/auto boxes now for the most part. If you want a manual M3 for example, you get a lower-powered engine. So yeah, I would never take that...
LOL, yes, and "Always downshift in a straight line!" - These things come from racing, not for street driving. Heel-toe is good on track - not needed on the street. Just blip throttle is all. Or youse auto-rev match.
Looks good! Happy you like them - the cloth seats looked so out of place. I couldn't be happier with mine, even though they are a bit more maintenance, and am glad others are doing the mod.
It's over. I'm ready to trade after this one.

I'm 5'10" and 155lbs - pretty slim build. I found the seats comfortable at first, but not so much on slightly longer trips (1hr+). But after a week, I got used to them 100% and now I could be in them for hours. So it may take a bit to adapt as well.
