  1. 2026 FL5 Speculation Thread

Good point. People want to feel better about their purchase. Of course it’s cool to think about owning a limited production future-collector’s car. Meanwhile, I’m thinking about if my shit gets totaled while also being a limited run, I don’t want to be SoL with inflated prices or rare parts...
  2. Aftermarket Windshield

It gets exhausting. But escalate it as high as you can. I worked my way up to a senior auditor. And he was the only one that was able to send my argument to some other team, which they would deem whether aftermarket was truly comparable to OEM. Seems like they didn’t bother doing the research...
  3. Aftermarket Windshield

I never posted this update. But my SA at my local dealership is amazing and he worked some numbers because he knew I was in a pinch. I ended up only paying $10 dollars additional outside of my deductible
  4. Cheapest way to get the Honda-specific Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires for stock wheels?

  5. Cheapest way to get the Honda-specific Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires for stock wheels?

Yeeesh. Tough one to swallow. Guess I’m open to outside recommendations lol
  6. Cheapest way to get the Honda-specific Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires for stock wheels?

Or anything comparable honestly. Just looking to replace my super beat up factory PS4S before my track day on Aug 30 without massively breaking the bank. The best I've been able to find is my home dealer offering new PS4S for $870 all around. But I'm thinking I want an upgrade if possible. Thanks!
  7. Best oil weight/viscosity for a bone stock car's first track day?

With that said, does anybody know at what temps the cold start protection would actually matter on a 0w vs. a 5w? For example I live in southern California. I’m wondering if it ever even gets cold enough to where a 5w is a little too thick for the engine’s liking upon startup.
  8. Best oil weight/viscosity for a bone stock car's first track day?

I’ve been doing some research and it seems like there are pros and cons to both 0w and 5w — and that a perfect middle ground is 0w30 0w provides for better protection on cold starts, less friction which results in no power loss (losses of upwards of 5hp for 5w) and faster cooling. and moving up...
  9. đź”´đź’Š Engine Oil Red Pill Thread: Only Post If You Have UOA - Official Honda Civic Type R K20C1 Engine Oil Analysis

I see. And is the Valvoline in that list 0w20 or 5w30? I agree that 0w30 is the perfect middle ground but it seems quite niche. In ambient temps upwards of 100F, would you still recommend 0w20 for a stock engine?
  10. đź”´đź’Š Engine Oil Red Pill Thread: Only Post If You Have UOA - Official Honda Civic Type R K20C1 Engine Oil Analysis

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum did not make the list? Last it was mentioned it was said to be better than the Honda Ultimate and slightly better than the Valvoline. I'm new to the thread so I'm catching up
  11. Best oil weight/viscosity for a bone stock car's first track day?

I've gotten to over 230 F on the street, I wonder what I could do on a track 🤔. But that was a pretty hot day
  12. Best oil weight/viscosity for a bone stock car's first track day?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but overseas doesn't the K20C1 have both port and direct injection? If so, I wonder if the UK recommended spec has anything to do with that.
  13. Best oil weight/viscosity for a bone stock car's first track day?

Hey all, I know the subject of engine oil has been discussed extensively here. And before you say it, yes I did search around but everyone has different use cases, setups, and climates they are living in -- and I did not want to sift through that 14 page thread trying to find someone like me...
  14. PRL air filter PSA

Anyone know if OEM Honda air filters are made in-house or rebranded?
  15. Valve cover gasket seepage or just dirt/debris?

Update. I picked up my car and the master tech said there was no leak. Just some residue/grease from the factory which can pick up dirt. He cleaned the area and advise I keep an eye on it.
  16. Valve cover gasket seepage or just dirt/debris?

Hey all, I noticed I've got some buildup along my valve cover gasket, especially near the turbo. The car has about 12k miles, unmodified, and lets just say well broken-in from canyon drives (but no misuse like money shifts, over rev, etc.). I don't think it looks like oil but but the debris...
  17. Aftermarket Windshield

Not quite. They're still screwing me over on labor cost. My dealer quoted $700-something in labor but they're only paying $400-something of it because that's what Safelite would do it for.
