  1. 2023 Civic Type R finder tool

Some cars that came in a month ago are still sitting in Socal while new cars are showing up in the region as "in transit". The ones that are sitting are definitely going to start getting marked down.
  2. Rollout of the FL5 and the Big Tease - Decreasing want for this car?

Well sure, but a hybrid CTR is a very different car, and will probably be in a different price bracket and appeal to different customers. The FK8 and FL5 are similar enough that I'm sure they probably had some planning of how the production numbers would affect each other. If they had sold a ton...
  3. Rollout of the FL5 and the Big Tease - Decreasing want for this car?

I'm sure they also have very thorough projections on how many they plan to sell. If this is the last gen ICE Type R for the US, there's no reason for them to not sell as many as possible, especially at a significantly higher MSRP than the last gen.
  4. Rollout of the FL5 and the Big Tease - Decreasing want for this car?

Ah makes sense. I am pretty confident ADM will go down relatively quickly. A number of cars in Socal have been sitting on the lots for about a month now, so clearly even in a region with about 10 million people, there aren't enough people willing to pay 10k+ over sticker to sell just 30 or so cars.
  5. Rollout of the FL5 and the Big Tease - Decreasing want for this car?

Could you mention what you mean by issues? The only ones I've heard so far are about rattles and noise, has there been anything else?
  6. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Media Launch Questions for savagegeese?

@savagegeese thanks for the great review video! Could you maybe speak to who the GR Corolla would be better for and who the Type R would be better for? I know you touched on the Type R feeling more edgy and quick, but was wondering if you had noticed any other major differences in character?
  7. What did you pay for your FL5?

It’s only been 2 weeks since the car hit dealers, so I don’t think it’s fair to say what this first set of owners paid for the car is what is to be the expected price moving forward. These are early adopters who are willing to pay very high prices to be first.
  8. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Media Launch Questions for savagegeese?

They may have increased damping to counteract the added compliance from a taller sidewall on the Fl5. Stickier and wider tires also means potentially more roll in corners, which could also warrant stiffer suspension to counteract that.
  9. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Media Launch Questions for savagegeese?

I'm curious how the wheel size plays into cooling? Is it because heavier wheels take more braking to stop and this results in more heat?
  10. Some Weekend Canyon Runs in my FL5 After XPEL & Ceramic Coat

Thanks for sharing your experience with the car so far! I am curious, does the FL5 actually have physical TPMS sensors? If I recall correctly I thought the 11th gen civic just uses wheel sensors to count rotations of all the wheels to determine if one of the tires has low pressure?
  11. First 500KMs Driving and FL5 Track Impressions @ Calabogie Motorsports Park, Longest Track in Canada

Great to hear! I love my BRZ and just wanted something hopefully as fun, but a little more practical, and it sounds like the fl5 fits those requirements well!
  12. First 500KMs Driving and FL5 Track Impressions @ Calabogie Motorsports Park, Longest Track in Canada

Can you speak more about what you think about the FL5 vs your FRS? How are the inputs different, steering feel, responsiveness etc? Which one is more fun? And do you miss RWD or does the FL5 handle well enough to not miss it? Im planning to get an FL5, currently driving a slightly modded BRZ.
  13. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Media Launch Questions for savagegeese?

@savagegeese Appreciate that you're taking the time to get the communities' thoughts and questions! Curious to know if you've heard anything about production numbers? Should we expect more or less cars than with the FK8? Would also love to hear more (when you're allowed to speak about it of...
  14. Integra Type S Spied Again! With Wider Fenders, Triple Exhaust Tips, Manual Transmission

The fact that Civic Si's are marked up but not the Integra tells me maybe waiting for this would be better than trying to get an FL5.
  15. 2023 Civic Type R finder tool

Oh awesome! Didn't see that. Curious to see where those numbers stand a month from now!
  16. 2023 Civic Type R finder tool

@StevenMatchett Would it be possible to add a way to track total unique cars that have been added and removed? Might give us a sense of production numbers we can expect.
  17. What did you pay for your FL5?

Toyota has already said they are bringing 8000 GR Corollas per year to the US, and Honda's data shows they've sold about 4000 FK8s per year. There will be about twice as many GR Corollas sold. GR Corolla is also priced higher than the FK8 was, so fewer people can afford it.
  18. What did you pay for your FL5?

I don't think so, and I doubt Honda will release that information anytime soon. I will say in their Type R presentation slides, they showed off how the FK8 allowed them to sell more Type R's than ever before, and I feel like if they pulled out sales numbers to flaunt, they might try and sell...
  19. What did you pay for your FL5?

Idk 8000 cars a year for the US is hardly limited production, that's twice as many compared to the FK8.
