I believe that the shifter will be available as a complete kit or just the shifter stand-alone.
IIRC, the stand-alone shifter will not include a knob or shift boot collar. It will include its own shifter base bushings. (The base bushings are a captive design - so much less fuss to install!)...
I don't have a preference. It all depends on how you shift. The ACUITY ESCO is designed for "pistol grip" shifting - like in @powow66 's excellent video in post #23, above. The stock knob lends itself to a "claw grip." The red leather knob is designed for either (according to a Google Translate...
FYI, the shifting video is with the shifter set at shortest throw, narrowest gate, and knob set at max. height.
I have been playing around with settings constantly as I want to be sure of my settings before I put the console back on. ATM I have the red leather Type R knob installed at lowest...
TL;DR:
1.If you love driving, then you will want to get this shifter.
2. I do not have any information about cost. ACUITY provided me with a prototype.
3. 90-second poorly-shot video of shifting:

The 10th-gen Honda Civic uses a cable shifter. (Almost all FWD cars use a cable...
I would never expect Honda to design their shifters to handle aftermarket shift lever extensions ;).
As for drilling and zip-tieing, I wouldn't do it myself either ... which is one of the reasons why I'm waiting for a full replacement shifter.
@ALTA Performance - is your Shifter Cable Lockdown...
The ziptie mod is for every short shift adapter that extends the factory shifter rod. The mod isn't required, but it does work to fix the 'click' that can happen in all of these adapters. Not all installs will have the 'click,' but if yours does and it bothers you, then a solution doesn't have...
Unfortunately, rev match isn't enabled for the 2-1 downshift. The pedal spacer works well - moving the pedal just enough for a lot of people. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to remove mine as it isn't an allowed modification for the class that I'm in.
Nope. I know Acuity has springs for some...
There's a couple different things going on here.
1. Acuity will be coming out with a complete replacement shifter for CivicX. This can be configured to be a short shifter. Like their ninth-gen shifter, it will be in a different price bracket than the mods.
2. There will also be a short-shift...
I've tried most of the parts as stand-alone, but I must admit that I haven't tried the rocker separate from the spring. However, the spring doesn't make a huge difference with the Type R shifter that already has an upgraded spring.
To me, I think that this is really a case of the whole being...
Good plan. I've been running a prototype of the rocker all winter. You'll definitely want this piece (and the shifter centering spring, and the base bushings, and the shifter cable bushings, etc.)
