I wouldn’t be so sure. Car manufacturers and dealerships have quietly figured out that low-production vehicles can be very profitable. In fact they can use base trim models on assembly lines to produce derivative special edition cars to sell at higher prices. Even certain hand crafted cars with...
Just chiming in here as I thought this was always a feature of Honda type R? They quite openly state it:
When going WOT for max acceleration older manuals has jerky shifts running up the gears. When smooth shifting is needed the driver has to wait for revs to fall. Honda designed around this...
Just from the video not at all enticing. Some type of active sound and effects of shifting screams a marketing video aimed to replicate everything they’d great about ICE engine vehicles. Unless that hyundai has geared motors and some sort of mechanical/magnetic shifting it really just feels...
This is a CANbus injection attack. Adversaries would buy a device sold on the dark net disguised as a JBL speaker, break into the wiring of your headlights which is one node of communication on the bus with your ECU. Once you’ve opened your doors and started your car, the bad actors can then use...
Overall HEXIS bodyfence film does have self healing, hydrophobic top layer, extreme clarity and has a small amount of stretch durability to fold over edges without compromising strength. Here’s a test a guy did over 3.5 years on all the films:
Sharing this from Autofilm Solutions apply full body PPF on CTR FL5 and ITS DE5 with HEXIS Bodyfence X/XS. This shop really is top tier in quality and price. Excited to see their finished products later
Type R seats look great and I’m sure has better bolstering than Type S. That’s my only real gripe about this car. Won’t fly out of the seats or anything but bracing is still needed when powering through corners.
does the CTR have homelink mirrors? Had no idea
bro I’m out here wanting the FL5 seats for the Type S DE5 and you replaced yours lol. Also your go to restaurant I’m surprised you didn’t even say phở ?
so I was dropping the car off at the detailed and he put two samples to show. There is a matte ppf that is flat, resembling primer coat finish.
the other is satin matte finish with 25% gloss reflective content. This ppf is Hexis Bodyfence line
Xpel stealth is the satin. Only a few...
I don’t know if the FL5 is any different but in the DE5 it recommends this for 130mph sustained speeds
I don’t know who would be driving 130mph sustained speeds other than track cars. But other than that the DE5 door Jambs say 35psi front and 33psi rear
seems like the only real solution is to sell you’re very nice CTR. But I understand your concern.
type R’s have always been a target of theft, even though There was only the Integra type R until 2017. The two largest concerns are relay attack to steal your key fob codes and CANbus injection...
so you’re the reason why i couldn’t find any FL5 in Colorado lol. I nearly had to fly out to get a DE5. I’m surprised you didn’t buy some ppf and slap it on yourself for the 1k mile drive home. Sure it would have possibly looked funny but you would have saved the paint on all that high speed driving
well if it’s any consolation, your Integra brothers are here that would benefit from the same/similar tune so Hondata has more incentives to further development
you’ll have to note that savagegeese and others dyno ITS on 93 octane. I don’t even have 93 where I live and it’s pointless for me. I don’t exactly know if it’s safe to mix e85 with 91 to bump it up either. I’ve driven the ITS for 1776 miles now, any power differences are nothing to write home...
CTR engine is K20C1, ITS engine is K20C8. What I’ve been told is mechanically they are the same and have no information that suggests otherwise. But they are actually different engine nameplates and both manufactured in America. Maybe there are differences we don’t know about but I honestly...
The ITS has more average ignition timing under boost with a higher torque limit and tuned to run on 93 octane.
while much is similar between CTR and ITS there are minor differences so there’s no guarantee it’s safe and simple copy over. You won’t get the pops and bangs the ITS has without the...
