  1. How do you jack up your Type R?

If you don't have access to a lift - ramps, a low profile jack (and block of wood or rubber puck, to protect the subframe from dents and scratching), wheel chocks and jackstands (flat top jackstand preferred) is standard procedure. Here are the jackpoints.
  2. CTECH Auto - DFW, TX Type R Specialist Shop

FL5s dominate the scene here, so it's pretty cool when a DE5 comes in every now and then! This one came in for Eibach Pro-Kit install. Since we are dealers for virtually all major manufacturer and vendor, we are your one stop shop for a smooth end-to-end experience.
  3. What did you do to your FL5 today?

Having done a bunch of HKS ones, its a very slight trim on the corner of the brackets for the charge pipes due to the angle and size of the endtank. 30 seconds with a cutoff wheel, a file or flap disk to remove burrs, and a bit of black spray paint to prevent flash rust and you're good to go.
  4. What about the FL5 do you regret?

Championship White. Always. Also, nothing I regret about buying the FL5.
  5. FL5 and DE5 Eibach Springs the Same?

They are interchangeable from a fitment perspective. However, while I dont have the exact published [progressive] spring rates, likely the DE5 versions are going to be smidge softer/lower rates than the FL5 version given they are supposed to match up to their specific ADS modules and ride quality.
  6. Aftermarket Dipstick for K20C1?

Its not even the design that gets me. Its the lack of explanation on something so rudimentary. Arent they over at Wunderladen engineers? Isnt it a 101 level understanding that changing measurements (or calibration for measurements) that deviate from the original agreed upon method needs some...
  7. Doubling down on the white!

The two original Type Rs (NSX-R and EK9 Type R) is factory with white wheels. Kept the white on white on our EK9.
  8. Aftermarket Dipstick for K20C1?

OEM+ would infer that it has the OEM functionality (measurements) or use case inherently in the design. Moving away from how the OEM one measures is no where near being OEM+ (especially without explanation from the get-go)
  9. Aftermarket Dipstick for K20C1?

Yeah, hence the "until now". Because that site was just updated recently with said description. Wasnt always there.
  10. Aftermarket Dipstick for K20C1?

Its not about stressing out about a cap full of oil. Its a measurement device that completely deviates from the factory part its supposed to replace. With zero mention (up until now) about why a measurement device is different than original.
  11. Aftermarket Dipstick for K20C1?

Basically what I alluded to in my previous post, definitely agree. I have a feeling they had someone or a handful of someones that were looking for a custom dipstick for their use case. Made a few and decided to just offer it for sale to the masses and overlooked that was a specific use case...
  12. California Ohlins DFV FK8/FL5 + Top Hats, Cancellers - SOLD

Sad to see you are thinking about going a different direction, but Vouch for Neil. The helper springs came from our shop FWIW.
  13. Aftermarket Dipstick for K20C1?

I admit I havent gone onto their site directly in a while so I dont know if this is a new update to the description (likely it was, uses the same language and verbiage from this post). But yes, this is a step in the right direction. Would be even better if they tell you exactly what the high/low...
  14. Aftermarket Dipstick for K20C1?

Why is this not part of the product description? The pitchfork riot is that end users and shops (like myself) alike should be aware of the particular design characteristics of a product especially when it comes to something that we're expected to use as measurement devices. The same measurement...
  15. Aftermarket Dipstick for K20C1?

I was aggravated enough with the last customer that came in for an oil change and the factory orange dipstick was pissing me off for the last time to the point where I was thinking I need to stock this at the shop. Then I come and read the weird markings and their reasoning behind it. This...
  16. JDM / EURO FL5 Civic Type R Headlight conversion

Assuming you're in the states, you need to find LHD euro (or another LHD overseas country) headlights or else any RHD ones will have the opposite (incorrect) beam pattern for our roads and you will blind oncoming traffic without lighting up road signs properly.
  17. Official Wheel Fitment Thread for 11th Gen FL5 Civic Type R

Need to go to 295s and lower the rear a hair, but also dont feel like dismounting these (they are not fun to do, AD09 and A052 have super stiff sidewalls) especially when they are like 80% life left.
  18. What did you do to your FL5 today?

Went to get gas and took a pic. Need to go to 295s and lower the rear a hair, but also dont feel like dismounting these (they are not fun to do, AD09 and A052 have super stiff sidewalls) especially when they are like 80% life left.
  19. Official CHAMPIONSHIP WHITE FL5 Type R Photos Thread

Need to go to 295s and lower the rear a hair, but also dont feel like dismounting these (they are not fun to do, AD09 and A052 have super stiff sidewalls) especially when they are like 80% life left.
