From my understanding, there is a bin with the plaques that they pull from during production. So the plaque number has little significance to your build order but VIN will show you the production.

If you line up the mirror cover over the OEM mirror, the gap is smaller (but still existent) and goes consistent all the way around the mirror. However, the BSI was off alignment and not useful. I think the OP may have taken that angle to reduce the appearance of the gap but not sure. Here is a straight on that shows it a little better.

Did you look at the picture? You can see the gap clearly. I also had them for about 30 seconds and immediately took them off because of the gaps.

Yes, there will be gaps. Go @Suma Performance if you want a full / direct replacement. Retains 100% heated functionality and bsi if you want too.
