The shocks are too stiff on the FL5. Just look at all the fast laps set with drivers bouncing around or that Car and Driver said they did their timed lap in comfort because any other setting left them bouncing in the braking zones to the point where the car wouldn't slow down.

My GT4 doesn't overheat even when driven at a "race pace" in 105 F ambient temps for a 25 minute session. There are some cars that can do an HPDE session at an advanced driver pace and there are some that can't, stock. The FL5 civic type r has many changes from the FK8 in order to make it stand...
What is the exact inner diameter of the wheel at the inside of the inner lip (barrel diameter on the inboard side)?
What is the weight of the stock wheel?
Thanks
Okay, I know one of you is going to buy one of these and go directly to a race track. Let's hear what you experienced. To know fully whether the new car overheats, please list what track you drove on, the outside temperature, and whether you're an advanced, intermediate, or novice driver. Likely...
Oh cool, same as FK8.
Well, if there are aftermarket wheels available in ET60, I'd be interested.
Since 265/30 fit on the stock 19s, 265/35-18 should fit with ET60 too. So there's no reason to change the offset for fitment, only for looks. The track is wide enough as it is, so I'd like some...
I disagree. The tire diameter on the FK8 was 25.7 and so you could get away with 19s and still have some sidewall. The tire diameter on the FL5 is 25.3, so I think if you want any sidewall to protect from rough roads, 18 is the way to go. (265/35-18)
