I don't get why it's missing LSD. Pretty sure it would just be an easy swap since it's already in i20N's parts bin. Same goes for the Elantra N line.
I've driven Veloster N base and Performance pack back to back and the absence of the e-LSD was definitely noticeable.
Don't forget that the...
Interestingly, it's somewhat similar to my experience with FK8 and VN.
Great cars, but in completely different ways.
Hyundai's 8DCT is just amazing especially with all the fun/silly gimmicks added to it.
(The 6MT was horrible tho. Not even close to what the Type R offers)
Would I buy another N...
I don't think it will be that simple and I seriously doubt it will cost more than $46K MSRP. Here are few things to think about.
- Type-R, unlike the Si, has a lot of bespoke performance parts and not all of them will be in the ITS.
- Integra A-spec tech is basically fully loaded so it has some...
We don't know that just yet. I never thought the Integra would come with LSD.
Acura's lazy. I don't see them developing a bespoke powertrain and suspension combo just for the ITS.
It's either going to be 99% FL5 or 99% TLX imo.
That's the point. The Integra is a lot more "Honda" than TLX or MDX.
I don't think the Type S production will be as "limited." People are already paying mark ups for the Si but you can easily find a 6MT Integra at MSRP.
I'm pretty sure a lot of the ITS (if not all) will come with an Auto and that could be a deal breaker for a lot of the CTR buyers.
We've seen something like this for previous gen CR-V, Accord, Odyssey, Integra, etc.
It's an imaginary project that somebody worked on. It has nothing to do with Honda.
I actually want more cars to carry the Type R or Si badge tho.
Well, the the competition's now about fastest FWD "production" car because of that damn race car lol
I don't think Honda wants to add any more condition to the title. They've won against two seater limited production hot hatches before and I'm pretty sure they'll do it again this time.
I'm not sure how that's supposed to work. Didn't they say DCT was too heavy for the type R?
Making it a baby NSX would be interesting and I'd like to see that happen, but the world isn't ready for a $60K+ MSRP Civic lol
Anyway, I know EVs are not that "eco friendly" at the moment, but let's...
lol I wasn't even trying to make an argument against your comments.
I was clearly just guessing and sharing my opinion in my first comment. What part of "who knows" and "maybe" did you not understand?
Yes, Covid and chip shortage were extreme examples but plans do change as they come closer to...
Right, I'm just guessing.
I never said there will 100% be a refresh of the FL5. IF it's anything like what they've done in the past, they'll stop making the pre-refresh FL5 soon after the refresh of the regular Civics. That's all I'm trying to say. Nobody knows what they'll do with the CTR...
The entire Civic line up will get mid cycle refresh in 3 years.
So I'm guessing that's when they'll stop selling pre-refresh FL5 and nothing's 100% set beyond that point.
Maybe it will be a subtle update like 2020 FK8 or maybe they'll make it a HEV. Who knows lol
Makes sense.
I just don't like that the automakers are now trying to sell hp and 0-60.
Mini Electric's pretty damn disappointing as an EV, but I still think that's the closest thing to ICE hot hatches.
Anyway, I'm really excited to see more EVs that are different.
The 74 is a fancy mule for a high performance FCEV that's not coming anytime soon.
RN22, just like the RN30, is a non-production concept to show where they're going.
So they're not "directly" related to what we'll be able to buy from local Hyundai dealerships.
They're working on the 570+hp Ioniq...
