Yes I cut the bumpstops per Eibach instructions. Again I'm used to the ride now and actually appreciate the stiffness. It doesn't bottom out nearly as easily as my 24 exl does, both vehicles have the pro kit.
They are definitely noisy and creaking. Also happened on my 24 civic exl with pro kit. This one is worse on the Si. Front and rear creaks.
I read you can grease the springs when installing. Where they contact the upper and lower strut mounts/rubber. Wish I had tried that.
UPDATE: So after a few hundred miles I am completely used to the more stiff ride. The drop is perfect for my taste. The stiffer ride is a good thing because I scrape and bottom out a lot LESS than my 2024 exl that was lowered on the pro kit.
I'm happy with the Eibach PRO kit on my 2025 Si...
I'm hoping things will settle in and I'll get used to it. The stock spring was a nice balance of stiffness for handling yet still keeping ride comfort acceptable. I'm not sure if I should try better shocks like Koni, different lowering springs, or just go straight to coilovers.
**Updated my opinion a few posts down. I got accustomed to the ride, and am happy with the Eibach PRO kit, would recommend**
Ok, so I'm a huge fan of Eibach. I've had their shocks and springs on several vehicles. 1998 civic with pro kit, rides like a dream. 2024 civic EXL hatch pro kit, rides...
Bought a 2025 Si yesterday. I already had Konig wheels on my 2024 and will be swapping those onto the new Si.
I need a set of newer honda wheels to put on the EX for trade in. If you have sport, EX or other nice set of oem wheels we can make a deal. Preferably you would bring 11th gen EX wheels...
Yeah. You don't have to smog it until 6 years after it sells new. So you can definitely tune and do some mods. Then revert it all back and/or sell the car before the 6 year mark.
Interesting thread OP. Well I owned a 2000 Corvette FRC 6 speed manual. Basically an ls1 and manual. My buddy that works for honda was driving an Acura TLX type S. A close car in 1/4 mile numbers to the Type R.
My 20 year old corvette was walking away from the TLX type S easily. I couldn't...
Update: wrote an email last night to the dealer where I purchased. Included all managers of every department and GM. Got a prompt response and they called me today. They state will remove aftermarket alarm and test everything afterwards. So far so good, will update if anything goes sideways.
I've had the car 3-4 months. Sure I'm passed that point here in CA, but thank you. Plan to write a nice email to DCH Honda corporate tonight. Hopefully get this resolved asap. Car is on a tow truck headed to the dealer now. Will update tomorrow.
Yeah man I already know to expect there. Some real BS they hack the wiring on a brand new vehicle. I 100% didn't pay for an alarm.
The dealer is being real crappy about it so far. No one there wants to help. I tried sales and service. Having AAA tow the vehicle there now. If they try to charge...
Hey guys. Was sitting in my 2022 Civic LX today, went to exit the vehicle and the alarm started going off. The power was still on as I was listening to the radio. Tried locking/unlocking with the key fob. Nothing. Tried locking/unlocking with the manual key on the door handle, nothing. Was able...
I paid $2k over msrp for my 2022 LX. I was pissed to do that, but it wasn't that bad.
$5-10k over on an Si is absurd and is price gouging. They can make all the excuses they want about market conditions and shortages. It's just not right and I hope what comes around goes around for these nasty...
Already own a 2022 LX. Great car, but I'm missing the 2017 Si I sold a few years back. So I'm in the market for a new Si here in SoCal. What a joke!! So far most dealers want $42k plus taxes and fees for a 2022 Si. They are smoking some good crack.
I hope to God no one pays that. Car is not...
