I thought the center plastic piece is a hinged cover covering a bolt underneath. Small pry tool should get the center plastic to pop open and then a screw to remove l and you should be good.
What material is used and any estimate of cost? Thanks for offering. Seems worth it to purchase (pending cost) just in case I decide to install an aftermarket sub later on.
Part availability won’t be a long term issue to the point it’s unavailable but price increase may be. Honda appears to monitor items that are frequently purchased and bumps the prices up occasionally. The FK8 shift lever assembly and possibly the rear sway bar if I recall were both increasd in...
Thanks for the high quality pictures, especially of the powder coated wheels. They look REALLY good. Digging the white wing and white accessory wheels.
@JDM_DOHC_SiR Pics are super helpful. Thanks. I couldn’t figure out how you dealt with the flared tubing of the center tip. Just cut the flared portion out and weld the larger pipe diamater of the tip to the center can. Nice. Outer tips look like it’s basically slipped over top of the smaller...
Tentative part numbers that need confirmed by someone in the local markets that get the spare tire kit:
06421-T60 -U11
06421-T60 -N00
06421- T60 -Q00 (I believe this kit does not include the jack where the first two do).
If anyone has contacts at the parts import websites, a helping hand to...
I love your buying experience. Drove past, saw an FL5 being unloaded, it wasn’t spoken for and you were able to negotiate a deal and buy it. Wow! I don’t see that everyday.
Thanks for the weight difference! Can you explain the highlights of what has to be done to the ITS exhaust to make it work? Just cut off the tips and move them forward in car to reduce the length they stick out from the cans? An OEM exhaust swap is interesting. Harness plug for the exhaust...
Anyone dig up part numbers or more info on the FL5 spare tire kit from Honda yet? I hope it’s something we can order through Dream Automotive perhaps if not available in the US.
Looks like you got them to leave that waxy paint protection on. Nice. Will you remove it or have the detailer do that? I’ve been wondering if anyone took it to their detailer like that. Thanks. Great looking car.
