2023 Honda Civic Type R (Championship White) #14886

Hi all, I picked up #14886 last week from Honda World Westminster and wanted to start a build thread to document and share with everyone. I'm a huge Honda/Acura fanboy and have owned numerous ITRs, NSXs and S2000s over the years but surprisingly this is my first brand new Honda. So far, the car is great and has exceeded my expectations (except the rear seats, the material is so cheap!).

Some photos of her bone stock at Sunday Steele OC last Sunday, can't wait to start making her my own.

Nice one! I'll be ordering same soon in Perth, Western Australia. Plan to do a ECU jailbreak once Hondata releases the online jailbreak method. Then map and tune though a WA company KYP Performance House.

Installed the optional suede steering wheel, painted the rear wing and dropped her off for full PPF.

There was a picture floating around awhile ago of a Championship White one with paint matched wheels. If you're planning to keep the stock wheels it looked amazing.

Perfect time to install the optional forged wheels while the car is up in the air for PPF. I used powder coat RAL 9010 and the match looks pretty good (matched the ITR CW pretty well). The only issue is that the powder was pretty thick so it covered the "FORGED" and "Type R" etched parts. I have to try to get a custom sticker made to fill the void.

LOL thanks! I guess the issue I have is the spoke only has half of the design/emboss when the logo is not there.
