  1. Best advice for factory size all season tires?

Wow. 18k is so short. Is that without rotating the tires, or even with rotating the tire? I have OEM size DWS and put 7k miles so far. I don't have a tool to measure the tread, but I'll find out when I got oil change next month.
  2. New Type R (FL5) Owner!

Congrats and welcome! Love that color especially under a bright sun.
  3. Best advice for factory size all season tires?

Wow. Vercelli is so cheap. I have Conti on my Type S and I like them. But I have no idea how good or bad Vercelli is. Also, Tire Rack and Discount Tire wouldn't show me a price, so they might match or beat these. Vercelli Strada II 265/30R19 93W XL, cheapest first: Performance Plus Tire...
  4. 26' FL5 Finally Arrived!

Congrats! Wow, 2 year wait.
  5. Considering a CTR

Hey! You're missing the Miata! :p My previous car was a Miata. I too was not sure about going FWD, but I actually like it now because it's not scary to loose traction under a hard acceleration. I also don't track the car, so I probably don't get benefit from RWD.
  6. Type R owner age?

    Interesting. Here's the count. I'm 48 btw, but I didn't include myself since I own Type S instead of Type R. Decade Count 10s 2 20s 20 30s 38 40s 38 50s 18 60s 15 70s+ 5 Unclear 1
  7. 2026 Honda Civic Type R Diminished value claim after a cosmetic only accident.

$3,300 is not bad. Do you know what was repaired? "The fixes include new rear bumper cover, new rear diffuser, repainted hatch." as in the original post?
  8. HondaHoon's FL5 Build

Wow! Lots of mods. Nice.
  9. 2026 Honda Civic Type R Diminished value claim after a cosmetic only accident.

Just FYI. When I used to have a Miata, I got rear ended. Just a bumper cover repair and repaint. Much cheaper car than Type R with much more minor repair. I started $2k+ and got only $500. Maybe I could have gotten more if I was willing to spend more time, but I didn't have enough...
  10. MY2027 Paused for Civic Si

Are they pausing the MY27 Integra (1.5L) manual too? So, only Honda manual cars will be Type R and Type S? Sad.
  11. 2023 CW FL5 with accident - what is reasonable price to sell?

If you're selling the car to buy something else, you should compare trading it in too. I traded in the previous car for $22k when that car was selling for $25 at used car dealers. Private party were going around $23k-$24k. But I saved $2k in sales tax, so trading it in was no brainer.
  12. I'm new around here

    Congratulations! And welcome.
  13. FL5 vs base 718 Cayman

I know the numbers don't mean much for the driver's cars ;) , but side by side comparison of the number. Spec 2025 Porsche 718 Cayman Base 6MT 2026 Honda Civic Type R Type R Price MSRP $74,795 $46,895 MSRP with Destination $76,790 $48,090 Destination Charge $1,995 $1,195 Engine...
  14. Steering wheel spring noise

Interesting. I have '26 Integra Type S with Sept '25 build date. It started to make this springs noise since a few weeks ago. It's mild enough that I only can hear it in a parking lot. But it constantly makes this noise when steering at low speed.
