On a long trip yes. But local if I get a flat I put the spare on the rear and move that tire to the front. A little more work but much safer.

Here’s the pictures. First of all i was able to carry my ice chest in my fk8 with the spare tire installed under the tray. I don’t have the same amount of space to do it now without dropping the larger back seat. This was without the cover or tray in place. So I think we are losing at least 2-3...
