I have noticed it's not as bad not that's in the 80's and 90's in Phoenix.
The problem is still there though.
With the engine off, turn the ignition on so the steering wheel is unlocked but you don't have power steering assistance.
You can clearly feel the notchy-ness still.
Yeah I do. It blows my mind this passed QA.
There's a thread over on the 11 civic site too titled "steering" under the complaints issues & problems topic.
This site won't let me link it properly. Backspace before the f in forum so there's no space in the link.

10k miles on mine. Some pros and cons
Pros:
-Handling is amazing
-Shifter is amazing
-Great jack of all trades car( power to fuel consumption, handles well but not too rough, etc.)
-Reliability should be great
-Low end torque from the turbo
-Amazing aftermarket support
-Rev matching is great...
Almost sounds like a slight exhaust leak. Maybe the metals are cold so they aren't lining up 100% until they're warm? Or maybe condensation is just being built up in the exhaust over night and is being cleared out when you cold start and the left exhaust is easiest for it to evacuate from.
Where exactly would you say the dash rattle was? Mine comes and goes from time to time but happens more when it's cold. Feels like it's to the lower left of the steering wheel kick panel. When I apply a bit of pressure there it stops.
The headliner was buzzing from right above my head pretty much, coming from between the oh sh!t handle and the moon roof. I could tell where it was at by applying pressure while driving and the rattle would stop completely.
To fix it I put the moon roof back, grabbed the headliner from the...
Exactly describes my experience too. I got the buzzing rattle fixed. Turns out it was the headliner. Someone on the civic 11 forum helped me out there.
Nobody seems to know where the under steering wheel rattle is. It's hard to tell when you're trying to figure it out and drive at the same time...
I've taken apart the b pillar twice so there is nothing rattling there as far as I can tell.
There's a rattle from behind the steering wheel over rough pavement that happens more when it's cold out.
The most annoying one is right by my ear it sounds like. A constant buzzing like an old...
I usually keep it below 4k until the transmission heats up. It will feel smoother engaging gears. Especially 1-2 shift. Once the transmission feels warmed up I assume the engine oil is hot enough and can floor it.
Someone posted a YouTube fix on the seatbelt adjusters. I'm gonna try it soon. Just waiting on the clips to be shipped.
Also it looks like the dealer did put some fuzzy tape on my belt buckles before I picked it up. So that is the correct fix for that rattle.
I have the same issue on both sides. Adjusting the height to the bottom seems to help but it will still make a buzzy noise on choppy pavement. Does anyone know if Honda has a TSB so I don't have to take the b pillar apart myself?
For the seat belt rattle from the b pillar I just moved the positioning all the way down and it stopped. I'm sure there's a better fix, but I'm still comfortable with the positioning all the way down.
For the rear dash sub rattle another user, idk if it was here or on the other forum, said they...
I think the only reason auto start is active on every start is because of the EPA ratings. I'll probably use sport when I get my car but we'll see how it feels.
At least it's not as bad as the manual v6 camaro though. That thing would lock you out of gears for better economy ratings when...
32. I want something fun but inexpensive to operate and maintain. I was considering an elantra n but I feel it would have stretched my budget a little too much and long term reliability is a bit questionable imo. I'm coming from a 2015 civic ex (auto cvt) so I'm sure this car will feel like a...
