I saw that! I love the performance pack option that will be available, if the GR86 arrives before the FL5 then it'll definitely be getting that option thrown on. Brembo brakes gives it a more premium/serious sports car look.
My best guess is their price includes some kind of option. It could easily be the leather shiftknob and alcantara wheel options, because the Honda Newmarket front page still shows:
Holy moly thats insane. Really hope that kind of bullshit doesn't happen when my name finally comes up :(
Speaking of paying more though, I wonder what the price increase will be for the 2024 model year FL5.
Unfortunately no news from me either, last news still dates from end of Oct 2022 or so. Sales manager told me to expect it sometime between 2023 and 2025, so he rounded it to 2024.
For the record I'm first in line at a relatively small dealership outside Montreal, QC. I was told they're only...
Can't speak about the vin, but my understanding for the badge number is its not sequential per say. Rather, Honda factory workers use them in batches (lets say batches of 500), so while the first 500 FL5s will have badges ranging from 1-500 they will be in whatever order the factory worker...
What really surprises me is that these scalpers take pics in front of their house. Not sure I'd want to risk rabid Honda fans knowing where I live while I'm selling the latest Honda unobtainium for a massive profit...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Im still curious if someone can verify if the HPD spoiler and Type R spoiler have the same mounting point/holes. Would be cool if you could swap the spoiler and technically staying "OEM".
I'd still get the recall done regardless. It sucks to have them damaged like this but I'd rather that then have the seat come loose in a car accident and then seeing how much better I fair getting damaged.
Just a quick disclaimer on that number (and to be fair the number that was rumoured for the FL5 as well) is that it isn't confirmed by Honda/Acura. So definitely take it with a grain of salt.
Honestly it does feel like Canada is getting shafted when it comes to car allocations.
In the FT86 forums a lot of Canadians have been waiting 1-2 years for a GR86.
Well this is interesting. Used Type R for sale in Toronto area listed for $89,995.
Definitely not a Canadian model since we don't get boost blue so I'm wondering if this one got imported from the USA.
I'm glad to have the option too, which is why im comparing them and weighting the pros and cons. I think the Type S looks great. Are the fenders a deal breaker? No, not really, but it is a comparison to make vs the Type R.
The "added thousands to the MSRP" part is what has me curious. The Type...
Yes, thats the exact reason why actually. Using unique body panels is really expensive, and yet they're willing to spend that budget on the CTR but not the more expensive ITS? The added features in the ITS don't require anything unique, as its all already available on a fully loaded normal...
The front fender and rear bumper have the look molded in, but the rear quarter panel and door have their pieces tacked on. You can see it in the pictures below:
My only "minor" disappointments with the ITS so far is:
1. CTR seats look more special
2. Tacked on fenders
I actually like the look of the tacked fenders, I just dont like them actually being tacked on for longevity and cleaning purposes. I get the impression that dirt is slowly going to...
Keep in mind that original rumour is actually quoted as coming from this very same forum. Since then theres been no news either confirming it or denying it. Hopefully its wrong, or the ITS makes up for the missing volume instead (and hopefully isn't ridiculously more expensive).
The last news I...
