It's not over spray, they don't clear coat the inside of the doors anymore, probably cost cutting. Stop doing that years ago on civics and it carried over to other models. Same with the engine bay, notice how it's all matte and rough texture, no clear, and little paint.
Acura have already stated there will be no "R". The type S is a street oriented sport model, if you want track focused move to the Type R. It is not part of their mission statement for Type S. If you notice Jon Rivers rarely mentions track in his videos. But I totally agree, stripped out...
nah, leather is way overrated. Only benifit to leather is easier to clean. You don't need cooling/heating on good fabric seats because it isn't cold to the touch or retain heat like leather does. They have to do something with all the cow hides we have from beef production, so a long time ago...
You should use the stock pressures unless tracking. Wheel and tire size do not matter. The Oem pressure is setup for the weight distribution of the car, handling, and mpg. Just bec you change the brand or size of tire does not mean you change the pressure. The weight stays the same.
I would start by scanning for codes, the rev match will disable with any check engine code, so could be anything. Also you may need to drive longer, is your Vsa and stability control lights on? It takes a drive after disconnecting the battery to reactivate the systems
Yeah, I already removed the water shield for my first day, still seen 273is consistently both days, mid to high 70s. I'm sure it helps, but it isn't magic. 250 must not be pushing that hard...? 1 cool down lap and I would drop 40f in oil temp
Three options here:
1- remove the e brake motor, 2 screws and it wiggles off, then use a E torq socket on the back of the caliper to wind caliper in by hand, then depress the piston with a clamp or pliers
2- disconnect coupler and apply power and ground to the motor to wind it fully in, it's...
Almost any Cel code can be disabled from their extensive list. Download Flashpro manager and have a look yourself, it's free and you don't need a Flashpro or car to play with the calibration.
Good advice from the other except one caveat, don't torque your lug nuts between each session. Wheels/brakes need to be stone when torquing. If you torque them after coming off a hot session your will over torque them and snap lug studs. Just do it at the start of the day and maybe after lunch...
Possibly, but the current trend in car design is black accents and accessories. Even the conservative Accord has a blacked out sport model. Also according to the Japanese designer the gloss black door dash and mirrors blend in with the door glass to create a seamless look. I like black trim...
Champ white is exclusive to the type r, red, black, blue, and sonic gray all carry over from base model. Could just go with the pearl white, since it's not directly next to another painted piece probably will be hard to tell. Champ white is a flat white, the base model has a pearl white.
To simply the answer for why do the body panels have gaps comes down to one main reason. If two painted parts touch each other it will chip an rub the paint on bother surfaces. Especially on the soft plastic parts. The gaps are created intentionally. I have seen a headlight or taillight that...
Personally I can't stand gloss black anything especially on the interior or exterior of cars. Really hard to keep clean and it scratches extremely easy. So part 1 of my de-black-ification is changing to body color mirrors. Really brings back that 90s Honda styling and matches the rest of the...
The joys of racecar life, lol. I torque my lugs to start the day stone cold then don't touch them. Maybe after lunch break when they are ambient temp again. I used Hp plus when I first started, if you are a moderate to heavy breaker, or heavy braking track you will blow through them. I was...
2 questions:
1 What brake pads were you using prior to the swap, what are you using now?
2 When did the studs snap? Are you torquing lug nuts regularly?
We had similar issue when we started tracking few years ago, we would retorque lugs between sessions, they did not have time to cool down...
