  1. Electronic Wastegate Sound

Based on the pictures, it appears that these arms are made with loose tolerances that wear as they are used with basically a pin in hole style connection. This was likely to prevent binding and allow for tolerances to tighten with thermal expansion. If my assumption that these only move along 2...
  2. Electronic Wastegate Sound

Well I definitely wouldn't be following the ford forum posted above. Those springs are showed attached to the oil drain pipe. A noise is much less annoying than an oil drain wearing through over time. Looking at these photos I'm seeing a common theme of bearingless connections. Cost savings...
  3. Android auto stopped working

This is an issue on Honda's side. Last time I was at the dealer (9/2023) I mentioned it still being an issue where I had to randomly factory reset the head unit and they acknowledged that it is a known problem and "honda is working on a solution and will release an update"
  4. Steering Wheel Clicking Noise

My integra has been doing this for a couple months. Started 1 week after the dealer performed oil change. I'm not saying they caused it because I dont know of how they could but the timing couldnt have been more inconvenient. I'll be watching this thread for info before I end up taking my car in.
  5. Type R RDM Disable ?

I dont have a type r but for the other full digital dash models you use the right scroll wheel to "safety and support" (or something similar) and uncheck the box next to it. I've never had it come back on in 4000 miles since I turned it off even with all the reflashes and hard resets my car saw...
  6. Largest tire size on stock wheels

Going with a 35 aspect ratio without decreasing either wheel size or tread width would increase the overall diameter of the tire. This would mean the speedometer would need recalibrated, acceleration would be affected because in essence you are changing final drive ratio, and handling...
  7. First gear locked out at stop light

Whoever wrote this article does not understand how a clutch operates. The clutch and flywheel are not engaged when in gear. They are engaged when the clutch pedal is released. leaving the car in gear with the clutch pedal depressed at lights will put strain on the throwout bearing and the...
  8. Interior noises - rattles, creaks, squeaks!

I have had the hvac whir at low fan speeds since about 1200 miles in my Integra. First noticed it after the second trip to the dealer for warranty work. While not the same car, I doubt there is any difference between the HVAC components.
  9. Lug Nut Torque for FL5 - Owners Manual Wrong!

I can also say: I have read every page of every vehicle owners manual I have had including the motorbikes. The CBRs bothered me the most with the frequent valve lashing recommendations.
  10. Lug Nut Torque for FL5 - Owners Manual Wrong!

FWIW I have taken the 80ft/lb spec to 100 ft/lbs for my own piece of mind on every vehicle i have owned in my lifetime. When it came to customer cars: those were always torqued to mfg spec to prevent any fault of my own. Being out of that business now; I still believe 100ft/lbs is a nice...
  11. Seat swap

I can think of a good reason: any modification to a brand new car will void at minimum the warranty regarding the parts modified.
  12. Si Res Delete Issue

Calculate your actual mpg at a fillup. If it has dropped, something is off about your install. It's possible you have a leak from the install causing a boost/vacuum leak. Double check everything is tight and not leaking. Did you read the CEL code? Likely it was related.
  13. Fuel tank size

This said it better than I could. Think Bout this: your reserve when the light comes on is 15% of your capacity. It's not a mechanical complaint. It's. Programming complaint.
  14. Has FL5 ASC (Fake Exhaust Sound) Delete Been Done?

While it is not entirely the same platform, i have noticed an eerily similar sound from my integra. I found it goes away when turning off the climate control completely. Try it and see. Does the high pitch noise sound like a gearmotor?
