I got the JSWAN in matte. It's not perfect - some small imperfections with the weave. It gets lost, though. It's good enough for me for the price - it looks better than the stock silver. At the end of the day, this is a Honda Civic. Couple of pictures with the red shift boot and arm rest...
Yeah, I remember reading on here that itās apparently impossible to get ahold of the identical fabric thatās in the car. This is not a 100% perfect match, but itās pretty darn close, and itās a higher quality material IMO.
I swapped it out. It was very easy. Just make sure you have a stapler - you need to staple the new boot to the mount - and also something you can use to pull the old staples out with. I just used a standard stapler, but I doubled up on the staples.
You also need a zip tie to attach the boot to...
$4k over is a very good deal considering the market. Most are going for $10k+ over. I was ecstatic to luck into $5k over myself I never thought I'd ever be someone to pay OVER MSRP but here we are. I think it's well worth it at <= $50k.
Absolutely! I just left the spoiler with them. 3 bolts on each side, comes off very easily. The car is still very drivable without the spoiler should you need to.
Iāve thought about doing the reverse of this and blacking out the sides with a custom vinyl graphic. I did that on my prior GT4. May be cool something similar with the Type R graphic on there.
I came from a 981 GT4 and a Focus RS to the CTR to simplify my life a bit. GT4 is definitely a different car than a 911T, so I have a little different perspective but similar. The CTR is like a FWD version of the GT4 to me. Itās the FWD car Porsche would make if they made a FWD 4banger...
My guess is it's painted gloss black. But as others have mentioned, it's a relatively inexpensive paint job from a shop. I paid $200 to have my spoiler sprayed.
