I’m based in New Zealand and it seems as though even if you turn off lane asssit, as soon as you restart the engine it comes back on automatically.

For around town it’s not really an issue, just need to be aware to turn it off on the open road.

So, it turns out according to the manual, that in the Australian and New Zealand models, that it turns on automatically when you start the engine. Regardless of whether it was on or off previously, it will be on when you start.

Thanks AspecR. I tried that but wondering if I’m in the wrong place. When I go into the settings all I can do is change to Early, Normal,or Delayed, but nothing to totally turn it off.

Hi All, Is there a way that the RDM be turned off permanently? When I turn it off through the rocker switch on the steering wheel, next time I start the car it re-engages.

Didn't look like it would rattle, but as piece of mind I used my hot glue gun and shots some hot glue dobs between the mesh and the guard, worked a treat.

Hi VBB, I followed your lead and also purchased some mesh, it was 6 x 3mm. It took about 30 mins to fit each side. Thanks for the lead on this

Not really and I am careful where I park, it’s more of a “just in case”.

Agreed, I was once told a lock only stops an honest thief. It’s more the deterrent I’m after.

Hi there, Has anyone had any luck sourcing anti- theft nuts for their FL5? The only thing I have come close to being an option is McGard, but being in New Zealand I have to import them. Thing being I’m struggling to see anyone else that has used these. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
