Reviving this thread, what material are the OEM front rotor hats made of? If it's aluminum then I see no reason to buy brand new hats from Paragon when the OEM hats can just be reused, unless you want to go with the clear hat design.
For sale are 2 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. These are the stock tires on my 2024 Civic Type R. They have a healthy amount of tread left, roughly 6/32" as shown in the picture.
One tire has a nail in it as shown in the picture, but I never had issues with it losing air pressure. Since it is...
I'm getting some Apex wheels and need to get new lug nuts. I'll be using Advanced wheel locks for safety. The deal with that is the Advanced wheel locks are about 1.97" long, so then it seems the rest of the lug nuts should also be roughly the same length or else it might look weird or perhaps...
Selling the stock PS4S tires from my 2024 FL5. There is a healthy amount of tread left, roughly 6/32" as shown in the picture.
One tire has a nail through it as shown, but I didn't have any issues with air leak when it was on the car. I can fix it if you prefer, but it's not necessary.
During...
I recently realized I can do something fun. Without needing to spend $400-1000 on some racebox or vbox, I can just measure my 0-60 on my phone using any number of apps. This particular one is called "Car Timer". Not sure about the accuracy vs a dedicated performance measuring box, but good...
I like these wheels. What's the color called? How would you compare the color to the forged OEM wheels, is it roughly the same or is it lighter? In some lighting these BBS seem lighter and in other lighting they look the same hue as the forged OEMs.
This reference has been helpful. It's strangely hard to find information about the stock wheels. I'm going through some wheel shopping, and while it's fresh on my mind I think it's worth adding that the stock lug nuts are:
M14x1.5mm, ball/radius
22mm socket
The Tail of the Dragon was not super enjoyable for me. You spend most of your time shifting between 2nd and 3rd gear, and shifting into 2nd while you're approaching a hairpin turn is kinda stressful given how far the shifter needs to travel and how 2nd gear has that extra resistance being a...
Well overheating on the track isn't really a reliability issue. A classic "reliable" 2007 Civic will overheat too if you push it too hard on the track. I could see the argument that the turbo DI engine isn't as bulletproof as a port injected NA K20 or K24, or that all the extra electronic...
How do you get out of your car to put this thing behind your tire without using your parking brake? You could shut the car off and put it into gear, but at that point the gear will keep you in place anyways.
My buddy's Stinger shat its engine at 60-70k. This falls under anecdotal evidence, but I've heard enough Hyundai/Kia stories to scare me away. You just don't hear about Honda engines crapping out, unless people are doing crazy stuff.
Dr Colorchip worked really well for me on my old car. I had a front bumper freckled with chips and I just went over the whole thing with Dr Colorchip and it looked basically 95% of the way there. There are some tricks and stuff to applying it that I had to find out on my own, but it's pretty...
I put on some 3M PPF on my old Si in 2014 and took it off in 2023. It had yellowed quite a bit. The yellowing was not noticeable when it was on the car (sunburst orange pearl), but was definitely noticeable when I took it off. I was able to remove it myself as an amateur, no special tools or...
Yeah, I'm aware this is how it goes in the car world. Just cause a good percentage of people do it doesn't make it make sense to me. People will bust on others for paying a markup but then they are encouraged to make a bunch of mods and are sent a friendly goodbye when they sell their car. In...
