So I forgot to post my last UOA, but I went back to 0W-20 for the colder months just because. My wear was a bit higher, which may have just been due to the cooler weather. My fuel dilution went down to 0.45%, which is crazy because I did have a decent amount of short trips compared to previous...
Rays Formula FN-II lug nuts here as well. They are pretty expensive, and I didn't really want to spend that much on lug nuts, but they're very nice. The 14x1.5 size seems to be a bit of a pain to find closed-end options for, or at least the ability to make them closed-end with the cap screws.
I also referenced this video (it hurt the process imo since it got things out of alignment), but I cannot emphasize enough how much I recommend you just remove the axle nut, as folks here have said. Getting the last little bit of the strut out is a massive PITA, and I ripped my axle seal on one...
This sounds really good and clean imo. I wonder if they will make a DE5 version in the future. I've been watching tons of exhaust videos waiting for my Apexi to arrive.
I believe purolator rates the purolator one filter at bit higher efficiency than the boss versions. Since most of us don't need the capacity for 15k mile oil changes that may be one worth looking into.
Unfortunately that oil will likely cease to exist in its current state soon due to the GTL plant in Qatar being taken offline. I bought a few extra 5 qt jugs as well.
Hondata charged $50 deposit and $1020 at the event a month ago. Flashpro+unlock+shirt (haven't received yet). I'd do remote if I didn't already wait to go to a tour event.
Yeah I apologize for hijacking the thread like that, I am now interested in Eneos oil though knowing it's apparently API SQ rated, so thanks. If Honda Formula R doesn't come out before my next oil change I may try that just to see.
Okay so the real issue is warranty then. I agree with you I wouldn't run signature series either for warranty (or cost) concerns. We're in the same boat there. I don't run it anyway, but I would stick to API SP and up oils for sure like you said. Not sure if they would really be able to tell, or...
So are we worried that Amsoil is doing something with signature series specifically that will end up causing warranty issues and hurting engines, when they also make a good amount of oils that are API certified that you posted above? I haven't seen anything related to that.
Yeah they're not saying those products are licensed, but claim they meet or exceed the requirements. They want to keep their additives/formulas proprietary. " The lubricant formulas from AMSOIL INC. are unique and proprietary. "

I think you may have misunderstood, I quoted myself and responded to the part you quoted below that with the SN part.
Also, pretty neat that Amsoil claims this in relation to signature series and more:
"AMSOIL synthetic motor oils meet or exceed the latest industry standards, including ILSAC...
Yeah agree to disagree.
I said " For all effective purposes, SS blows Hondas actual requirements out of the water since it is a great oil for DI turbo engines."
You posted what the manual says, which is run API SN or greater. The subsequent API certs are way better oils. SS is a better oil...
Yeah I'm on the opposite side of that argument. I do think SS is as good as an API certified oil and wanted to jump in because of what you said.
The good news, for @dminusBird , is that ENEOS X Prime 5W-30 meets API SQ and ILSAC GF-7A requirements. So that is pretty cool that they already have...
If you have a windows laptop, or can borrow one from somebody, you can check the boxes (traction control, pops and bangs, etc.) and reflash the calibration in Flashpro software. Just make sure you have your car on a battery tender, or drive it for a bit to make sure the battery is charged before...
Yeah you're almost intentionally missing the point of what I was saying but that's fine. I am used to people in my life being highly opinionated but DAMN son! The ZDDP argument that you're still mischaracterizing was about the literal levels allowed for an API formulation and what exists within...
