I have run Hawk Ceramic pads on a Gen 1 CTSV and was happy with the performance and reduced dust on that heavy car. I'm surprised that they are not listed on the comprehensive list linked above, but I assume they exist for this platform. They are not recommended for anything other than street...
FYI they can't void your warranty because you modified the exhaust. Per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act the manufacturer would have to prove that your modifications caused whatever failure they decide to try to avoid covering in the future. They can charge you for clearing the code, but they...
Yes, it would be zero noise if you used the stock endlinks. Just to be sure, you might want to get under there and check that the bolts holding the bar to the chassis have not come loose. Mine got loose a few days after initial installation and was making an occasional noise like you describe...
Bro is excited, let him have his fun. I pretty much had the same reaction when I installed mine. I switched out the CTR module for the ITS module as soon as I bought the car because of the pogo mode in R+. But with the ITS module comfort was a little too soft and R+ had issues with bumps mid...
So what features should one look for in a DSP in order to utilize your device? Can it be done with the plethora of $100 DSP devices on Amazon, or does it need certain features only found on X, Y, Z brands? I can appreciate a good rabbit hole, and this is about as rabbit hole as it gets.
I just checked mine and it's literally the inverse of yours @Parthenius otherwise I was going to mail you my spare key. Maybe start a new thread with a new title to draw attention to you needing to borrow one and include the photo of your end cap. Hopefully someone here has the same one. Put it...
I just went on the hunt yesterday for mine so I could take my rack off now that winter is over. I keep one zip tied to the allen wrench tool, but when you can't find that either...
Luckily I found both in my catch all toolbox drawer.
Nice, I went down the rabbit hole looking for some of this over the summer but didn't really get anywhere. I might have to resurrect my interest now that you've done the heavy lifting. Thank you for sharing!
The problem with camber plates is when you push them inward to gain more negative camber you are also pushing the outside diameter of the spring closer to the inner fender liner and inside wall of the strut opening. Stock springs are wound with a really large outer diameter and so are H&R. If...
The problem is finding a true winter tire that fits the stock wheel. You also stand a higher risk of damage when you hit a blind pothole. I ended up ordering some Enkei 18x9.5 +45 wheels with Michelin Alpin 265/35 18s from tire rack and they have been fantastic so far.
The FL5 endlinks are not plastic, they are steel. You can run them with the RV6 bar on full stiff but they will clunk from time to time, most likely from contacting the LCA. It doesn't look like the RV6 endlink would help in this regard if you are still running the stock LCA. This is really...
