I pulled the flap valve fuse to keep it open, and then later modified the exhaust which eliminates the factory muffler, leaving the flap valve connector un-plugged.

The car eventually threw a P16EB code. Auto-zone couldn't read it or reset it.
The Honda dealer didn't like the modification and recommended that unless I restore the factory exhaust, the car will no longer be under warranty. They reset the code for free.

There is a device on ebay that supposedly eliminates the ECU from throwing a code. Has anyone here used this or something like it? Can you share your info? Thanks.

FYI they can't void your warranty because you modified the exhaust. Per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act the manufacturer would have to prove that your modifications caused whatever failure they decide to try to avoid covering in the future. They can charge you for clearing the code, but they can't deny anything not directly related to the modification. I'm not a lawyer, don't take my word for it. Just search it.
