  1. Rear Pads for 2025 CTR were down to 4mm right after 8k miles ...

I'm wondering how much of it is from the over-eager braking from the adaptive cruise system... assuming it's the same as other Civics/Hondas. I swear the ACC presses the brakes every time someone sneezes in front of me. Have you been using cruise, OP?
  2. Finally! 51 degrees!

I could tell by the title you were in my area. Oberlin, here.
  3. is500 vs FL5

Alright fine, I'll be the one to say it: Stop endangering yourself and others and take it to a track. Public roads are not the place for experiments.
  4. Does anyone do oil changes on their own even under warranty?

Nice. I use Fumoto valves. Same idea, but the Fumotos are 1/4 turn levers with a spring-loaded lockout.
  5. Does anyone do oil changes on their own even under warranty?

I do. In most cases, "under warranty" ≠ free oil change, but a free or cheap oil change usually = conventional oil, a cheap filter, and green mechanics. I don't feel like skimping on quality for things like that. The nice part about having a dealer service your car is that they'll report their...
  6. Civic Type R refresh / facelift confirmed for 2026

I wonder if they'll get George Clooney to be their spokesperson.
  7. Rev Match On or Off

My opinion has no right to affect your preference. You do you.
  8. Ohio NE Ohio area: OEM Michelin Pilot Sport 4s for sale

What's the size? I see you said OEM, but I'm not sure if that's from an Si or a Type R.
  9. Tuned 1.5t non si gas mileage

"Nice! Tell me your secrets!" he said, clearly hijacking the thread for his own gain.
  10. Tuned 1.5t non si gas mileage

'24 OTS tuned Si here, and I'm averaging 37mpg when I drive moderately. My average mpg on a fresh tank when all I've done all day is autocross is still about 24ish. I don't know what's going on, but I think you're right to question it.
  11. What can I do to control wheel spin?

Oh yeah, good point! Don't know where OP is, but it's finally deciding to be in the 40s/50s in Ohio now.
  12. What can I do to control wheel spin?

Less throttle, and something stickier than the OEM rubber. In that order.
  13. Smart Entry Door Handles in Rear!

I don't know, but I do plan on moving to the Integra in a few years. I will most certainly investigate at that point and report back here!
  14. Smart Entry Door Handles in Rear!

My last car had door handles that unlocked the car when you grabbed them from any door, and I was sorely missing that in my '24 Si. Yes, it exists in the front doors, but I often open the back door first to let one of my little ones in (still in a carseat, so he can't buckle himself), and I kept...

Ah, sorry! I didn't catch that it was a Type R. From what I understand, it would still bolt in, but the headliner wouldn't have the right contour to meet the flange without a gap. I'm assuming it's a sunroof/no-sunroof difference.
  16. Daily Driving Mods recommendations

Yes! (Edit: but alas not for Type R's - need to have a sunroof) Sunglass holder here: https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/installed-sunglass-holder-in-us-2022-civic-si.51253/ Mirror swap here: https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/plug-and-play-homelink-mirror-for-fl5-1-hr-install.51749/

Skip the lip and the coilovers. Get the sunglass holder from a Touring model. And the Homelink/auto-dimming mirror. Those will improve your life every single day.
