Just for reference if anyone else comes across this, I did my first oil change at 1000 kilometers and it was already seeping. Cleaned it up and then rechecked at 1800 and it was still seeping so they resealed and want to take a look in another 1000. So mine was an issue straight away.
Iāll also...
Mine said the same citing not wanting to waste a good part, which seems fair. Only couple hundred kilometers since my reseal but its holding for now.
You could always agree to it and request the tech takes a look at the oil pan to see if the casting seems flat/smooth.
Hating on the lack of 'raw' car feeling from it right now. My older Si has way more engine noise and feeling to it. Don't know where to start for mods to get that feeling back but I'm sure I'll find it.
Sorry didn't mean to derail, any suggestions on where to look for research on that kind of stuff? Very new to this and wanting to learn, so just asking questions from an educational standpoint and not to challenge anyone.
Yes for sure, which is why Iām not really understanding what Optronix means. Wouldnāt getting an alignment nullify the issues with being out of spec that heās talking about? Sure itās not OEM ride height but your camber and toe should still be OEM right?
I havenāt installed my Spoon springs yet either but a lot of the spring installs Iāve seen have seen result in them getting an OEM alignment done afterwards, am I missing something? Iām not great with suspension stuff.
I wonder if this means no refresh for MY26? I think in the other threads it was unclear if it was for 26/27ā.
Iām assuming they would want a press release before cars land if there was a refresh..?
I mean I'll take advantage of the warranty if I have to, but just going to see if it's reoccurring before I run to the dealership. More just seeing if anyone with the exact same drip had a follow up. If I never see any other liquid I'll leave it be :)
It might not be the bearing and I donāt like dealers touching the car if I can avoid it, they donāt always seem to know whatās going on š
Seemed too thin to be bearing grease.
I found the same drip during my first oil change as well. Donāt see any other leaks or an obvious source for it. Did anyone figure out what this was?
Good find on the 2020 info. Honestly if you can find one and can swing the cost, better to go for it. Never know if itāll be possible to secure one otherwise especially if a limited is even more scarce, itāll probably go to people willing to trade in their current FL5s anyway.
I donāt ever plan...
Thats what they told me when I called for one a few months ago..
But I sent the automated āIām interestedā message that went to their internet sales team. He then connected me with the person managing the sale who said they had a large deposit but didnāt sign papers yet.
Guy backed out and I...
