  1. Questions for the K20C1 engine experts here.

So the honda tech with years of training and experience is just a random guy and is considered irrelevant. Specially when that same person said "follow the MM", the same recommendation found in the owner's manual. I see ....:lol: Ignorance to the maximum expression.
  2. Questions for the K20C1 engine experts here.

Dude, earthdream engines had been out for over a decade. At this point you should see hundreds of posts in every honda community board talking about their bad experience with carbon build up issues. I had not seen a trend out there in the internet.
  3. Questions for the K20C1 engine experts here.

    1. There isn't proof out there about a trend of carbon build up problems in Honda DI engines. 2. The easiest way to avoid problems with a warranty claim is to not install aftermarket parts like a catch can. If that worries you, don't bother during the warranty period. 3. 1st engine change...
  4. OH Boy, Here We Gooooo....

There is an ITS owner (link) that UPS lost his ECU in the way back from Hondata. Was without the car for 47 days until got hands on a new ECU. Hondata restored from the backup they did prior shipping the original one and now is using the car without the need of going to the dealership to pair...
  5. Transmission worries.

This isn't a trend for the K20C drivetrain at these power levels. This can be summarized as either the car was abused or you had very bad luck.
  6. Extended Range Fuel Tank?

I tried once but typically fill when the light goes on. My previous sport compact was a 15 Lancer Ralliart and barely reaches 200miles on a 14.5 gallon tank. That was the definition of absurd.
  7. Extended Range Fuel Tank?

    This ! Official manufacturer specifications
  8. Extended Range Fuel Tank?

You must have an extremely heavy foot. Shifting at redline all the time. Fuelly.com filtered by TypeR. 15 vehicles averaged 25.4. 25mpg x 12gallons = 300 I don't drive my ITS conservatively or like it was stolen and get 25mpgs
  9. Extended Range Fuel Tank?

I find 300 miles (distance to empty) enough for a sport compact.
  10. Why Bosch?

Wasn't this platform developed in Europe? That should have a big influence on the choosing of the ECU too.
  11. Marvel Mystery Oil

FAFO Not very popular for a reason. Snake oil.
  12. Type R Untuning itself?

Flashpro unit got infected with the EPA Safe the Environment Worm. Any tuning gets rolled back to keep emissions low. Pretty sure is that.
  13. Best First Mod for FL5

People love to reference this but in reality is a pain in the ass to use it and rarely changes things. They will just laugh at you. If you are worried about warranty issues just leave it stock.
  14. Trade-in my almost new 2018 Si for 2024 Type-R

With trade ins I usually take out 3-4K of what the vehicle typically sells around me with similar mileage and conditions. In your case get ready for a 10K-12K loss. I wouldn't do it but is your money.
  15. First gear completely blocked

Me 2 Done it on my Honda cars for years and those transmission were working flawlessly.
  16. Jester’s Hondata thread

Just be aware of the risks of sending the ECU via mail. A fellow ITS owner lost his ECU and now has his car sitting in the garage because the ECU is on backorder. https://www.integraforums.com/forum/threads/ecu-replacement.51618/
  17. Jester’s Hondata thread

Some Hondata dealers have the capability of doing the jailbreak on site.
