I was just watching the review of the Integra A-Spec from Sarah-N-Tuned and under the hood the battery was wrapped in a (presumably) thermal protective covering. She also just had the new CTR, and it had the same.
I don't on my '22 Si. There is a wrap around the sides of the battery in the...
Also I just remembered that it generally goes into 1st very easily when the Stop/Start is activated and the engine is off. That's what got my attention the other day when it wouldn't go in, because the S/S was on and engine off.
My Si did this the other day for the first time I can think of (9500-ish miles). I slotted it into 3rd then back to 1st. I generally back into parking spots and leave it in R, so don’t really have issues with reverse.
I removed the Civic badge from the trunk of my ‘22 Si shortly after I got it. I’ve been noticing older Civic badging and thought I might want one of the connected ones. Once I started searching I saw the cursive Civic and zoned in on that! Turns out the one I got from eBay looks to be NOS from...
I just did my first oil change on my '22 Si at just over 8100 miles. When I pulled the undertray it had many multiple spray spots on it. No pooling. Also inside the engine bay. Looked like the steering rack was wet in that area. I wiped everything off. What is involved in the steering system? Is...
Yep, the tire fits perfect! I even mounted it myself using a Harbor Freight motorcycle tire mounting rig.
The A11 part number is for everything pictured, minus the tire. If you want just the holder, there is a part# on the sticker on it in the picture. Presumably order-able from Honda?
Took the Si to Deal's Gap Saturday to meet up with some friends on bikes and watch the Fiddies races. On the drive in there were Hondas and Acuras from so many generations all over the area! I didn't really spot many 11th Gens, maybe 1 or 2. Didn't see another Si, but there was a new Integra.
Yeah, me too! I already had a flat on my '22. I made it home and had nothing else to do that day so I tried the 800# service and not the "tube of goo" because I could hear it leaking. Never a good sign. 6 hours to get it fixed, 3 hours for the tow truck, 3 hours at the dealer to replace the tire...
Finally got ahold of the Civic spare wheel kit! First time I tried ordering it was back ordered until mid August. Called local parts dept in August and they said mid September. Finally it was available to order, so I did online through one of the discount Honda parts sites. They sent it through...
Love Jonny Smith, BTW! Check out his Podcast with Richard Porter (Former writer for Top Gear and Grand Tour) called Smith and Sniff. Very British, but if you are a TG and FG fan it's relatable.
I guess I'm getting more enthusiastic the past few weeks, as I'm at around 29-30 combined. Actually very little highway miles. My previous '19 Sport 6MT was about 33-34, and the Si was doing that for the first few months.
Of course, I just got an email saying:
"This part is not available from Honda as of yet. The tentative release date is 8/15/22. I can order this part for you but I will not receive it before that date and I can not guarantee when after that date I will have it."
I'm going with the "Temporary Kit" Part#06421-T38-A11 from Honda OEM Parts. They said it's coming from Greenway Honda in Florence, SC. My dealer looked it up and said it's backordered until 8-17, so I guess I'll see what happens with this order. I believe I still need to source a tire for it...
