I have to double check but yes it’s either m6 or m8. 25mm long is what I ended up using since I had a pack of them which was a little longer than needed but is fine.

No noises so far. And yes you got it, the pinch bolt I initially wrenched tight. But ended up replacing the supplied hardware and added my own bolt and flanged nut so that I could have more surface area and torque properly.
  6. New York FS: Spoon FL5 Spec Springs [SOLD]

SOLD! Springs have about 1,500 miles on them. Located in Westchester County, NY. They are in great shape with no issues or rust. Photo of them installed with my CE28SL 18x9.5 +35

The comfortable ride of spoon was very OEM like but the wheel gap did not look very appealing. With Eibach Sportline FL5 spec, the drop looks great and the stiffness leads to a better driving feel at the cost of a little comfort. Ultimately depends on what is important to you.

Wanted to share a cool late night meet with local CTR owners. We are local to the New York Hudson Valley area.

Let us know how it goes! I learned my lessons from the FK8 platform and it's great the FL5 can be worked on in the same exact manner with the same parts (except springs).

Have you removed the top pins from the top of the damper to gain more camber?
  11. Jonnys_honda FL5 Build Thread

Correct these are similar to the Hardrace Ball joints. Mine are from Whiteline. But same exact design. The camber really comes from the bottom, but the top does slightly go in. Are you on stock dampers or coilovers?
  12. Jonnys_honda FL5 Build Thread

Agreed! The car sits very nicely. Going to keep an eye on the springs as they settle over a few hundred miles.

Eibach Sportline FL5 Spec! They reached out to get a prototype over to me. The drop is great!! Full resolution not support on this site but here’s a reduced file. I got noises when I didn’t torque things down for sure. There’s a torque spec document on the site if you search for “Type R torque specs”, on it it lists to torque the rear upper arm to 56 lb-ft for both ends.

The FL5 spec Spoon springs have settled after 1,000 miles and a track day. My other suspension mods again are: Eibach rear upper arms and Whiteline Adjustable ball joints. My next steps are looking into other suspension options with higher spring rates. CE28SL x RE71RS x Spoon Note: All...
  17. Jonnys_honda FL5 Build Thread

Yes that’s correct, direct fit. Be sure to torque those bolts down otherwise you’ll get noise back there over bumps.
  18. Jonnys_honda FL5 Build Thread

That is valid advice. My car has been paint corrected, PPF (full car) and ceramic coated. Can’t recommend it enough for a black car.
  19. Jonnys_honda FL5 Build Thread

Snapped a few photos at golden hour. The Spoon springs are settling a little more as the mileage creeps up. About 300 miles added so far.
