I soaked the crap out of the top right stud and tried to double nut it to get it out so I can replace with the TSP titanium studs. No luck and it won't budge at all. Got the bottom left (hot side) stud out without any problem at all. Maybe I'm being too careful since the top right stud is in the part of the turbo with no access to the rear of the stud. I'm thinking I'll just replace the other 3 with the titanium studs and use a titanium nut on the factory stud I can't get out.
Use a torch!! Heat it up good and then with a good size breaker bar apply a constant pressure so it comes out.

wELP, HIT IT WITH A TORCH AND BREAKER BAR. Didn't budge. Don't want to break it off. Leaving it in and completing the install tomorrow when the gasket gets delivered from TwoStep

That is odd, I have installed my fair share of downpipes on Type R’s now and they always come out that way with no issues. Better safe than sorry then.

Yup. No need to keep it pretty. It will be hidden under the factory heat shield anyways.

The titanium nut helps make it look a little better too.

This is interesting too. TSP Titanium stud length vs Rampage stud length. TSP on the Left and Rampage on the Right.

I wish the TSP were just a tad bit shorter just for the sake of simplicity on installation. I had to play tetris when installing mine. But it all fit without any issues.

That’s for sure. My torque wrench was annoying to get in there with the deep socket, but it worked. I may try the shorter ones for the front pipe when I finish the install later this am.

What method did you use to remove the OEM studs?

Have a link to those Rampage studs? Is it just the FK8 ones they have hidden on their site?
