I try not to think about it anymore
I only ask because I remember you said you were checking with your dealer before you did anything. I havent bought anything for the engine yet and I am just starting to think screw it. Your experience so far has been good?

so far my dealership hasn't made a fuss. I just got inspected with them and they double checked what I've done. there more concerned about the Tuning. if you have issues with the ECU there going to blame it on that. but they need to prove the modification you did is what caused the issue.

I'm thinking I'm just going to go ahead and do it. I'm at 3500 miles and I just need them to fix a few things (grinding at start, etc) and then I'm gonna go for it.

Even if you did void your warranty and nothing goes wrong all your regular services are still covered right?

Ok cus I'm going to install the Boomba motor mount, progress sway bar, and mishimoto Catch can tomorrow. Figured those are ok but should I tell the dealer when I go in to get the car checked out what I've done so they know?

definitely. I still have the service plan with them, so they do all my regular check ups and maintenance. but be aware that adding power means you might have to change fluids more often. just keep an eye on it check for discoloration and make sure there at the right levels. my next servicing they have to replace the CVT fluid, cant wait to see how that fluid looks on mine haha.

you don't have to but its good to mention. I rather have my technician informed on what hes working on. you shouldn't have any issues with those mods tho. I havn't put my Motor mount on yet

What kind of fluids are you specifically referring to besides CVT fluid? Which to be honest I don't know what that is but I can guess.

I guess this morning I sort of just realized that even if my warranty is void that I would still get my service plan.

I mainly have been waiting to make sure there's nothing wrong with the car or power train. It all seems to be working fine, again I want to take it in to get the grinding fixed and work on the sound vibrations some. I imagine once I install the Boomba mount tomorrow those will get worse for a bit...

And I'm assuming when you tune an ECU there's a possibility it could fail? Basically sounds to me like what every computer company says about unknown software on their hardware. Is it common for an ECU to be corrupted or fail after being tuned?

Also you said you do KTuner, why do you prefer them? Just because you got in the game early and Hondata hadn't really established ground for the 10th gen yet? It seems to me like having a flash pro and being able to change tunes on the fly is priceless. Could change it back to stock before services.

Then again if the dealer knows you flashed your ECU what's the point of flashing back to stock...

Sorry lots of questions I'm starting to get serious about this and I've def Been reading your posts for a while now I like your setup. Last q. What kind of power numbers are you putting down with your current setup?

Yeah once I figure out how to rear jack the car I'll put the sway bar on tomorrow. Or could always just jack it up from the side you don't have to get that far in to get access to the sway bar.

yup same as unknown software or hardware. flashing back to stock would help you prove that the flash is or isnt causing the issue, if the flash produces the issue but stock doesn't, they wont go further then that with you. they'll just tell you to flash back to stock. I like ktuner because I got on early. they also have more control over the CVT and can do more complicated custom tunes. but flash-pro is easy to use

And so was there a moment where you went to Honda and said "hey I flashed the ECU" and they went "Hey your warranty is void". Or did they just kind of find out lol. Just trying to get a little more specifics on how they are about it.

Just wasn't sure if some dealers would try to get you out of more like your service plan or if all of them aren't going to touch that aspect of it.

they cant void anything just by you changing something. they can try and tell you that but the law protects you. I told them off right that I was tuned

So you would say that after all the bolt-ons and tune your car is a completely different animal? Drives and acts differently? And do you know exactly how much horsepower your putting down?

its definitely a different animal. I plan on getting dynoed in another month. but I believe i'm in the 250hp range, based on my quarter mile and 0-60. this is a link to when I was last dyno'd, tho this was before stage 1 tune was even perfected.

I assume your running with the intake and the blow off valve and all that. And I know you have your custom exhaust. At what mileage did you start your mods? And what are you at now? I'm at 3500 miles right now wondering if it's too early.
