There is a bubble in the relatively new ppf on my type R F5. It’s in the crevice near the tail light. The shop says that they have to contact the manufacturer, but I think it’s workmanship. Opinions?
This is abnormal. Do nothing for now. Wait to hear from the shop and go from there. Provided you're not at fault in any way, they should 100% fix this.
When I got my ppf done there were a lotta bubbles too, but nothing that big.
How does it compare to the other side? I imagine they used precut pieces like most shops do, if that's the case, then it likely isn't install error. Would make sense that they'd wanna contact the manufacturer to say the adhesive didn't hold.
The other side is perfect. The car is gorgeous is all other respects. It’s also wrapped on all the glass and has a ceramic coating. The wrap is a light pink that changes colors as you pass it.
Yeah, if agree with the shop then, it doesn't look like install error. Wait for them to get back to you.
I had an instance of install error on my ppf where the shop caused my front grille to delaminate. They took care of it all and the only person who notices is me in the fact that the bumper wasn't put on perfectly lol
