I got a crack in my screen which over a 200k journey extended to 1 metre. Went to local Glass repairer who don't have FL5 screens. The bad news is they come to NZ from Japan and will take 4 months. Hopefully!!!
I can wait or they will fit a non Type R screen which will then be replaced when the proper screen arrives. Not a very good outcome.

Do what you can to get by and stay safe. 4 months will come by soon, just keep yourself busy and occupied. Good luck.

That sucks. Hopefully you don't have to wait 4 months. Happened to me last month. Safelite was able to get an OEM windshield within a week. All covered by my insurance and $50 deductible. I was told unless you specifically ask your insurance, the default is aftermarket glass vs OEM at the same cost.
