Does anyone have any schematics, etc.? I know the drain plug is on the bottom. However, I see 2 different types of plugs inside the engine bay. I can take pictures if necessary.

The vehicle is brand new, so I am looking at this down the road. I may do this at the 20,000-mile interval, or about 2 years out. I will only use Honda-approved CVT. The draining part is easy, but the filling part is the question.

My friend drains it cold, measures it, and fills the same amount. He has done this every 20,000 miles and has over 180,000 on his 1.5L Turbo engine (he may have the 2.0L), and stated that he has never had an issue.

For an extra $100 in CVT fluid, it may be worth it to increase the recommended frequency. Honda is every 30,000 miles. Toyota recommends the fluid drain/fill at 60,000 which is way too long. Subaru does not recommend it at all. The dealer is around $350 out the door (Crazy right)? Thank you.

It's a slight angle, but I get it. Allow to warm up a little until it spills over. Where is the fill area inside the engine compartment? I will upload pictures of both areas in question later today.

I have to circle back to this. The CVT fill plug on the 1.5 Turbo is accessible and easy to get to. Draining cold, measuring, and filling cold may be best, especially if no leaks. Yes, it may not be filled properly at the factory, but I would hope so.

My nephew has a 2023 and it is hidden behind all this mess (The fill plug). I probably will change mine at 20,000 miles with OEM and assuming 3 to 4 quarts will be sufficient.
