Anyone has the OEM FL5 car cover? it shows hybrid for indoor and outdoor. The FK8 had an indoor one that was soft and scratch resistant.

Is the one for the FL5 similar even though it’s hybrid?

I have one that I bought thinking it would be good for outdoor use. It's nice, thick, and really soft touch but I doubt it would hold up to long term outdoor use. I could be wrong but I would use it more for keeping dust/pollen away in the garage than an all weather solution. Mines unused if anyone wants to make an offer. I'll start a for sale thread later today or tomorrow.

Do you have any pics of the inside by chance? It’s 250 from the dealer and I’m debating if it’s worth it!

I'll take some tonight. It's a white soft fuzzy inside and the outside feels like silky spandex with less stretch. I'm not sure if it's waterproof or water resistant.

Unfortunately I had to store my car outside right after I bought it to avoid driving it in the Michigan winter. The factory car cover held up great and I think it is 100% worth it.

I stand corrected! If it holds up to Michigan winter, it must be tough.

I DO NOT like the "Take ME" advertisment on the outside of that cover !!! I doubt that my insurance guy would approve either.

It's not a white fuzzy inside like I thought. It's a soft silky spandex feel to it. Should be gentle on paint as long as your car is clean, just like any car cover. Also, I don't think I'm going to sell mine. In addition to learning that it is in fact good for long term outdoor work, it's large and heavy and would cost an arm and a leg to ship. If you can get it for 250 I'd say it's worth it.

Here's what the inside looks like
