Looks like some salesmen decided to drive the fl5 around for a month and then dumped it.

I’ve been seeing a lot of FL5’s go back on the market, does anybody know why? I’m an owner as well.

It’s not what some people are looking for. It’s a hardcore car on suspension settings and some people like the comfort of Auto transmissions.

If the owner bought a mk8 golf R he will come to regret that decision.

They say the DSG is better suited to the Golf R instead of the 6MT...

Multitude of reasons, most ppl that initially got it, paid more than they could realistically afford. Some realized it’s more aggressive than what they were expecting, I know one person that was upset at the fuel economy and another that found the seats unbearable.
Same thing happened with the FK8s. It’s probably a little unsettling if you own the car but it’s nothing to worry about.
Enjoy the car, smiles per gallon beats miles per gallon every time

it is, most don’t realize the car was designed for the DSG first and then the manual after. Couple with the fact that VW has never made a good feeling manual transmission. The DSG would always be better suited

I checked out the Golf R recently... I don't think I would trade the CTR for it though. Everyone is different.
His reasoning was the Golf R is faster, which in truth on the street, the DSG is faster but also more boring.

That is correct, on a launch and in general street it will be faster. And if that is all he does then it fits the bill better.

Should have told him to reach out for a tune😂. Maybe he would not have called it slow. 🤣🤣
