Michelin said tire rotting is caused by the Ozone

Do you live in a high ozone location, like LA?

I've never had issues with Pilot Supersports or PS4's, but our air quality is good. I normally get 5-6 years from a set. Same for Michelin sport bikes tires.

Ozone exposure is a known source for tire or rubber degradation - outdoors or in a storage area near electrical motors (heat pumps, HVAC, oil furnaces, freezers/fridge). Most likely source is cold weather, driven or not, below freezing. Age of tire is its mfg. date not the date the vehicle is built/sold/delivered. Most uhp tires are nearly a year old by the time they are received in the USA and mounted on a wheel/vehicle.

My PS4S are imprinted 2324... the 23rd week of 2024. Such a shame that they're rotted already. Getting new tires, not Michelin. Can't afford to have a tire blowout and causing an accident on a highway.

2023 MY and same with being garage kept most of its life and cracking before 10k (car has less than 11k miles). The tires actually delaminated. So the cracking may just be an uncommon flaw.

On 200-300TW summer tires, 10k is a LOT of miles.

If you want more mileage than that, you honestly need to switch to a high performance all-season that's in the 500-600TW range.
