Spoke to 2 dealers in montreal/quebec and they're slimy. They are never forthcoming with the out-the-door price for the vehicle. Something like 90% of the listings I've contacted dealers about (Canada-wide) are ghost listings. Some are magically gone even though I contact them right when the posting goes up or I contact them a day or week prior and they state no inventory or everything has been sold but magically there is a listing from the dealer that comes up. The majority of them are definitely doing internal dealings in order to exploit the demand for the vehicle. Hoping you guys have a better experience than me and can find a decent deal. I don't need the car so I can be patient. There is a dealer in Montreal re-selling a slightly used 2026 ...78k $ :O
The ghost listing actually has a reasonable explanation. Many dealer has an automated inventory system that links online inventory listings to their incoming units that is still in transit. Usually the vehicle only gets delisted once they are delivered. So between in transit and delivery, it gets listed even if they are presold.Spoke to 2 dealers in montreal/quebec and they're slimy. Yes I have driven an ITS. It didn’t speak to me as much. I will certainly consider it if FL5 becomes unobtainable. I have a 24 Golf R, so the luxury feature in the ITS will be feel quite similar to the car that I have right now. What intrigued me about the CTR is that I recently got a DC5 ITR, and I was very impressed by the seat and connectedness of the car. But it being 22 years old, it’s not reliable enough to be a daily. So FL5 becomes a top contender. I think I may look into a 2020+ FK8 as well, if one becomes available that I can look at in person. Most dealers are getting 1 a year or so they tell me. Thus they have to do all the add ons to maximize profit...have you looked at the ITS? Plenty of stock in the GTA and you could even negotiate a discount.
Most dealers will post it low-mid 60s. My guess is that it will be around 60 if selling it privately. Trade in won’t likely be much higher than msrp. How much can I sell my low kms 2025 for???
